ITD off Faith doesn't apply to bosses. It's nice in mob situations, but does nothing versus D and such.

Razortail adds 33% pierce

Multi spreads damage out, but doesn't do anything for additive effects on weapons. I'd use it for something like Harmony that has nothing but damage. Other than that, forget it. Strafe > for bows that do the job as well if not better.

Honestly, for an MF setup, this is outrageously expensive. Could build a GG Hdin that can solo 8 player chaos for less. To make it worth it, the gear needs to be reasonable. WF/Faith/Pride/SS/Fort etc are overpriced for MF when full Tal, an MF barb, or a necro are cheap.

Yup, I hear ya.
But this guide is about Bowazons, not Tal Sorc, Barb or Necro.
And unfortunately that is just the kind of bare minimum gear a Bowazon needs to have effective kill speed while MFing.

For an MF zon, there are much better setups. CoH makes up for low res, adds MF, and str. Otherwise, there's Skullder's for MF

With all due respect, please stop uglying up the thread with comments like this oO

This build still rocks pits, Maus, tunnels, Eld, and Shenk just fine. You don't need to solo chaos to MF, you need good clear speed on areas that are efficient. Sub 2:30 for full pits from load with Harmony switch. And the gear here is far below your bare minimum.

The only monster with a bit of HP from "pits, Maus, tunnels, eld and Shenk" is Shenk itself, even in p5+ all the other monster die extremely fast with a shadow/diamond faith setup.

Using time trying to cast amp with a lower damage bow is just a waste, for the time you cast an amp damage with 1 or 2 strafe, all the screen is dead with multi, and if there are no obstacles, the next screen is also dead since the range is so big for multi.

More % to cast amp have only sense in a high hp monster zone, like CS or WSK, and still you can have a high damage faith/windforce build and have atma's to cast amp and do better than low damage bow + a bit more % amp damage.

Sub 2:30 pits is a slow pit unless is soloing in a full game.

I don't think that gear is the best for PvM, 100% pierce is OP in WSK, chaos or river of flames, a great places to MF with a bowa, and even if is more a taste thing, you may want amp damage in that zones, something you can get with a GMB Faith and maybe is expensive, but still better than that WW build for sure.

Faith of ice isnt a 10% drop in damage compared to GMB

factor in pvp penalty and the fact that FOI will have greater chance to do double damage due to 20% ds, and the drop is minimal. if your opponent has 50DR then its even less.

When looking at average damage, GMB to FOI is about a 1% average damage drop.

FOI to Diamond is about a 9% damage drop. (0DR)

FOI is the best setup. GMB is better if DR or TGODS is not needed.

Diamond/shadow sacrifice too much damage for 150life(30str/20dex), 20@res(aka 12max dmg), 1% crit, and 1-2% passives.

The damage of an upped WWS is severely underrated. Tighter damage range than WF, high CS chance, amp procs fast. Lower str requirement means more dex means more dmg. Most of the time, even without Amp, the average damage output is better, WF users will outperform with anni and torch because their Dex will finally push high enough with fewer hard points in Str.

Long story short, this guide is a waste because it's not available early on ladder as claimed unless you drop a ton of FG, whereas WWS is, and the payback period is gonna be insane. Chip's 13 year old guide needs two gear pieces to level and be effective. Props to the author for a ton of verbiage and mentioning GG gear.

Perfect Normal Faith GMB is 62 - 320 = Average Damage: 191
Perfect FOI GMB is 55 - 284 = Average Damage: 169.5
Perfect Diamond Faith is 146 - 178 - Average Damage: 162

This means that:
- FOI is an 11% drop in damage from Normal Faith GMB
- Diamond Faith is a 15% drop in damage from Normal Faith GMB
- Diamond Faith is only a 4% drop in damage from FOI

Furthermore, here is how the game works when Critical Strike and Deadly Strike are both being used on one character.
For sake the of the example, we will use a Bowazon with max 20 Critical Strike that has the usual +skills off gear, normally totaling 72% Critical Strike:
* An arrow is fired and it hits
* The game attempts to roll Critical Strike first
* 72 times out of 100 shots, the arrow will Critical Strike
* Let's say it successfully rolls Critical Strike, which will happen roughly 7/10 arrows fired
* When Crtical Strike activates, Deadly Strike does nothing else. They do not stack. 7/10 arrows fired, Deadly Strike is doing nothing
* Let's say the Critical misses. Which will happen 3/10 arrows fired
* Now the game attempts to roll Deadly Strike with only a 20% chance from FOI. 40% if also wearing Highlord's
* Only 20% of your Critical misses will successfully roll Deadly Strike. 40% if also wearing Highlord's
* This ultimately means that 3/10 arrows will allow Deadly Strike to potentially work when Critical misses and only 20% of those 3/10 shots will ever activate Deadly Strike. 40% of the 3/10 if also wearing Highlord's

If viewed over the course of 100 arrows fired, here is the ratio that a Bowazon will get of Critical vs. Deadly vs. no crits or deadly
- 72 of 100 arrows fired will be Critical Strikes - This is because the Bowazon has 72% Critical Strike
- The other 28 arrows will be no-crits.
- There is a 20% chance to save those arrows for double damage due to FOI 20% Deadly. 20% of 28 is only 5
- If also wearing Highlords, there is a 40% chance to save the 28 arrows for double damage, which is only 10

The Deadly Strike on the FOI only works on 5/100 arrows fired.
The Deadly Strike on FOI paired with Highlord's will work 10/100 arrows fired

Using Deadly Strike on a Bowazon that already has 72% Critical Strike is a waste of modifier
The raw damage off Normal Faith GMB heavily outweighs the 20% Deadly Strike on FOI and the FOI's loss in raw damage from the Normal GMB.
