Being "slugish" after any sort of golem slow/ other slow for that matter (arach, cold dmg etc) is a non issue if you dont rely on giant screen long ww buffing.... (I understand most barbs do though / dont cant physically control there whirls to be 4 frame / small and use that to frame cancel out of fhrs etc.... just throwing it out there ~)
Dont pump extra points into dex.. if your using weaker swords your already losing possible vita/str to these. Not sure what swords your using but saying you have a 100 ar jewel in a sword is definitely concerning lol... Assuming its a rare, a 40 ed/15 max or lo rune will always be better depending on what you want. 40/15 will achieve higher overall avg damage, but a high range between min - max, and Lo will achieve higher overall avg damage (but lesser than 40/15 max), but not change your min-max range, meaning more consistantly higher damage. Which is better depends on what yours trying to do, but i found when i did this for perfect eth rep cruel legendary mallets / tmauls on dtwopk 40/15's were always >> when doing the calcs, despite believing Lo's would be better, (Similarly to how the melee community always Lo's there rare fools weapons. I bet if anyone actually ran there statistics of a simulated melee duel with some easy code, theyde find 40/15 >> in most cases)
Definitely dont use LoLo for sorb... awful choice compared to the alternatives of lo wisp or tgods. Use lo wisp with 63 fcr always ~~ Even if that means losing your raven/cbf for wisp and replacing reg enigma with E of dragon for a quick/easy switch to achieve this.
Leap's kb radius is effected by every level of leap. Using 2x bcombs to get "18.6" leap radius doesnt make sense unless you are trying to physically leap that distance.... Wish amazon basin wiki was still up... had the best info on stuff like this but this source will work too:
http://diablo.wikia.com/wiki/Leap_Attack_(Diablo_II)"With Leap, it has a base of 2.6 (actually 2.64) yards, and gains 0.66 yards per level. Example, a level 10 Leap will have a knockback radius of ( 1.98 + ( 10 * 0.66) ) = 8.5 yards. This is an approximation."And yes, aiming for 12k ar will probably be better to hit things in fpk, but that extra ar is useless if your not 1-2 hitting everything. The suggestions youve made means your damage will suffer quite a bit. Theres nothing worse than watching people in bp + mb + amp'd surivive ww's because your pillow fighting them lol
And that same setup, in any situation where shout isnt a factor, is simply significantly worse :/
1. I don't like ww'ing slow, even though it doesn't affect ww ias, it gets you in all sorts of hazard. Like when I was "Junking" Swinger because of his no cbf and golem slowed.
2. I calculated it, getting from 3.16 to 4.12 hits per second is the exact same as putting a Lo rune, not joking. Approximately. D2 creators' ingenuity. So I decided to get the same damage, as Lo, going from 3.16 to 4.12 with 15ias, plus having an extra 100ar on the weapon, so as to equalize my Grief's Eth rune's offset it creates for the weapon alternating bug.
3. Increased damage % jewels do very little for the Sword I'll be using. I prefer the Attack Rating and getting a higher percentage of hits on them, since this Sword I'll be using is still quite hefty, does quite a bit more damage than Beastz.
4. Again, I know LoLo is the worst sorb option, but my Ravenfrost is key, insane ar bonus and to me cbf is invaluable, preference. Plus I can't stand low mana, even though I've got a Bmana. With a wisp I'd be forced to cham my circlet, lose a massive amount of ar, and lastly some mana. I plan to overlap the Chance to Hit curve with a massive amount of ar, that's my plan anyway, so I can't afford to lost my Ravenfrost to a wisp. Strategically, I'll be avoiding traps with decency at 65fcr, mainly leaping with opportune timing in the proper place. It won't be pillow damage, as I've said, my Sword does higher damage than Beastz. Haven't factored in the level 9 Fanaticism, but, I'd say still above it on the offhand, while not boosting my Grief's damage.
5. Invaluable information on Leap, thank you. I thought it was based on the onscreen "radius", my attempt was going from a 18 yard radius to 18.6 yard radius, I'll be sticking to damage scs knowing this. Ty!
6. The damage should be fair, just a little short of Griefz/Beastz. More offhand damage than Beastz yet less Grief buff from the level 9 Fanaticism.
7. And of course I have another Grief CB in stash, for use against non-shouted opponents and the like.
I can't figure out any better Dual Sword Barbarian build, although I might try out Dual ethereal Death Colossus Blades in comparison, with these I would say I'd even use Shadow Dancers for the Dexterity AR bonus, and FHR, knowing the Deadly Strike % would be nearly 100% critical strike factored in.
