Maybe I should have said "divided by 3" then ;)

Except that it's not :D It's reduced to 1/3 of your current block, which is 25% when you hit MB. Or do you block at 100% ?

He was giving an example.

Reducing 100 to 1/3 is 33.33333333
Reducing 75 to 1/3 is 25

Showing you that reducing something to 1/3 is different than reducing by 1/3

You don't even english don't you ?

You can take any number you want, 75, 15 or 350, if you reduce it to 1/3, the result will always be 33% which is what he meant.
The kid just doesn't know anything about the game and needs to verify all the things on a site :D Just check this one for another exemple :D

This may be a stupid / easy question but I don't generally play Paladins.

If you have 75% block and are charging, I presume your block % will decrease? Further, if you toggle walk while you charge, will this retain a higher block %?

Finally, does walking in charge affect sync?

Thanks for the help!

75% becomes 25% for your example (33.33 repeating of course% of current block). If your char has 60% block on screen it goes to 20%
It does not go to 1/3 (again 33.33 repeating of course%). do not be misinformed by a white bone shield. It doesnt make a difference when in charge animation for blocking if youre running or walking.

Running while charging slightly affects synch.

No.

You take 350 and reduce it to 1/3 it is 116.66666 repeating.

Take 100 and reduce it to 1/3, it is 33.333 repeating.

You take the main number you're talking about and reduce it to 1/3 of itself.

Not taking that number, changing it to 100 and reducing it to 1/3 of 100.

English is hard for kids.

you just wrote the difference yourself but didn't even noticed it :D

reducing x y or z to 1/3 = always 33%

reducing x to 1/3 of itself = x/3

Now if I reduce you to dusts, that's an exception, the result will be always be 0, because 0 divided by 3 = still 0

LOL, I think as heated as this conversation got (not sure why?), it was a simple misunderstanding. When you say something is reduced to 1/3, that does technically mean that it goes to 33%. I'm 100% sure you meant 1/3 of the original value, but you didn't state that so someone that doesn't already know the answer could very well think you are saying that block chance goes to 33%.

Everyone was right. We can all be friends here.

This discussion remains me of a question I've been meaning to ask. Quite simply: does the game properly determine whether you are actually running or not when it is calculating your block % and defense? I have always been paranoid that it does not, so I toggle to walk when I am in melee combat.

In other words, if I'm in run mode, but I'm standing there attacking, does the game understand that I'm not running and give me full defense and blocking or is necessary to toggle to walk mode?
