this guide is written primarily for mirror duelers of smite vs smite/vt or vt vs smite/vt whom do not use exile

on my realm exile dueling is separated from non exile dueling.

Regardless it is an informative post of game mechanics.

i accounted for str differences, skill differences including holy shield, dr, pvp penalty

if you don't even consider spirit as a viable option for a smiter then that means you play a smiter of the Shift+click variety which is :<

on my realm there is more mirror matching than pub play which defeats some of the main purpose of having fcr.

I wrote this guide simply illuminating the properties of shields that affect game mechanics

I am not commenting on whether a spirit is a viable option or not.

I did not include this because exile has life tap proc and is not generally used in gm smiting.

Spirit is also out damaged by all of these shields with a base damage equivalence of 2 skill = 64%. The res potential on spirit is nice, a perfect knights version of spirit will have 129% damage equivalence with 35 res all, outpacing the HoZ.

Yeah but it's like making a 30k life barb. Sure you get a ton of life, but is it efficient enough in pvp/pvm?

There are game mechanics regarding the behavior of teleport that make teleporting onto another smiter impractical however due to the character location recalculation.

If we want to talk about builds for smite vs smite I would personally choose something other than spirit to improve my chances for that duel.
