durability is not really a problem, and repair cost is very low

When you say it works on bosses How long does it take to kill lets say hell diablo?
Have you managed to kill Baal?

I'm always interested in PVM builds that are a bit quirky but this seems just to damn slow...

Indeed, its for very slow kills.
Sometimes, monsters AI make them stop fighting, when they cannot hurt you (souls, fetish, sand raiders ...).

Diablo is not so long (assuming 1-player game), mostly nomore than 1-2 minutes. Baal is harder.

You will come back to town and change equip only vs huge packs of cold immunes. If only some around, Thunderstorm will take care of them (ex : Oblivion knights in Chaos sanctuary).

Now I can go afk without a bot in the game. Cool
