My sample mercenary builds are not suggestions. They are just what most people use and what polearm would go well with it.

About the slow polearms: I did not feel like doing the entire math for this. But yes, if you run a sorc or barb with >105 fcr then you won't hit anything during constant teleport if you use a slow weapon with 0 total ias on your merc.

In any other case the mercs frames per attack is 8 or lower in which my logic does work.

If you run a sorc/barb with 63% fcr or higher, not 105, as far as WP goes.



Volgues are wsm 0 = 8fpa = 3.1 APS 13 avg
WPs are wsm 20 = 10fpa = 2.5 APS 105 avg rounded down

13x3.1 = 40 rounded down
105x2.5 = 262 rounded down
