COA, dual ber'd
stopped reading here.

change that to ber'd shako and I may consider carying on.

carry'd on a bit and saw 37x 20/5s.

I suggest not doing this, your damage will suffer.

My smiter, currently, is using 17x 20/5s and 18x 32020s.

Most smiters, unless primarily made for smite vs smite / vs phys chars, generally max(Aura-wise):
Fant
Resist Cold (blizzers can kill, good ones anyway)
10-20 Resist Lite

this means 37x 20/5s is seriously not needed..

you'll get over 100 res from lite res aura, then add in 17x 20/5s / gear, and you'll have like 300-400 res.

Edit:
If your a team smiter ,like mine, consider putting enough into convic for -100 - -150 resists, helps tremendously.

Did you not see his build is different and relies on tele-smites alot of the time. How are you going to hit max dr w/o CoA and w/ Spirit?

Y helo thar. Was that you or hec I spoke to in friggen earlier? :|

I agree in the typical smite build shako > coa anytime. However with mine it's a bit different. I played my smiter similar to how you played your barb with zerk, so keeping decent fcr and dr requires coa.

And you do know that 3/20/20's do not work with smite, correct? Only charge, which I feel a few +skills is more than enough. I don't recall the need to ever charge high-def chars.

The suggestion of actually -using- light res aura is indeed a good thought, but I enjoy the passive bonuses and keeping fanatacism. I only use 95% lr if mass sorbing, which in GM i obviously don't see a need for. Thus I rely elsewhere for stack. Also I prefer 1 into salvation. I've rarely heard of smiters pumping resist cold, to be honest. If stack was necessary to that extent I feel salvation or simply a 205 shield would suffice.

Indeed, it does help tremendously wink.gif. I recommend at the very least 1 point into it.

Nice guide.  Unless I missed it somewhere, could you tell me how much life you had and maybe smite dmg?  An estimate since you don't have it.  smile.gif

~2.5k onscreen damage (decent for all 20 lifers)
4.8 - 5.2k life at lvl 90 depending on how strictly you stat your smiter and on setup...

....The difference is approximately 200-250 life [between coa vs shako], give or take, as well as depending on what you socket your shako with... I suggest "Jah". After all you're only using it if you -don't- need the dr or to stack res. In coa I have roughly 4,850 life, with shako I hit 5050. I realize these numbers are somewhat low compared to many pure smiters that hit 5.2k+ on average, yet I strongly believe these other bonuses this build offers makes up for that. Aside from that, in 0 fcr setup with pure dr/hoz build, you will hit almost 5.3k life. I hit 5.7k in my SvS setup

Idk if I've had no luck with finding gg smiters, but I've found that if a smiter doesn't desynch charge my bowazon... I can bow him down fairly well (as long as he doesn't bm and start the duel very close to you). I almost always end up taking a smiter down to half health.

if u were to replace all the dupes/unlegit items, then what would that be?

cause i like ur guide, but don't play east, nor do I like using mass dupes..

But nice guide!

9/10 until u get all legit gear in there too wink.gif
