How long does a trav run usually take, and how many people can be in the game before Trav is pretty much undoable for your barb? IE- Merc dying etc

Also Does your merc die often, or do you pretty much go through the runs smoothly without a problem?

Also is this viable for HC, because thats where im thinking about making one

so u can use as u like...with ali babas u get 200 Mf so u can get nice drops , but its up to you

About Hardcore.....
Go this Way : Equip Botd Zerk and SS and you should be fine
u will get a bit less gold but u wont die.

U can run inm games 2-3 Ppl
Merc doesnt die if u play right and everything goes smoothly
1 run takes 1-3 Minutes

IK helm isnt better, atleast for merc, he needs Leech

with ik helm u sacrifice to much stats to get those +2 warcries i guess ur after, since this is gf and not mf
