yep, lw is ok at ubers but its not the best choice and its nowhere near most cost-effective either

Please explain the # of runs vs more mf to Ancalagon.

its definitely the most *space-effective* though.
my bvc can actually kill ubers simply by replacing his grief with LW, with 1 point frenzy

i disagree that lw is total useless

last wish can be useful for mf/gf frenzy barb
mine for example
grief pb (main hand)
last wish pb (second hand)
with fade you dont have to worry about the res
with life tap u are immortal in frenzy
nice add is MF
with these 2 weapons you can concentrate the rest of your gear on GOLD find items or magic find
also the might aura allows you to get act 1 merc with faith for might+fana

unfortunately, ancalalbutt, it really does give you the easiest transition from pvp char to pvm uber char, be it smiter, bvc, whatever.

insults only show weakness but I guess they did not yet teach you argument structures @ school

and letting a pvm char do pvp and vice versa only ends up in inferiority. takes a good chunk longer with a pvp char to do pvm because of things you may need for pvp but not for pvm (different eq,skills,stats,inv)


problems:
1. even with might+ fanamerc you get less damageboost than a simple reaper's mighter offers
let's do this simple: we face a monster with 50% physical resistance and have 1000% off weapon ed without our merc(which is rather lowish)
faith offers 144% additional off weapon ed at best, lw offers 200% additional off weapon ed
our might merc offers a lvl 18 or 19 might aura(210 or 220%)+ decrepefy

let's compare
lw+faith means overall 1344% off weapon ed but since the monster has resistances we loose 50% of that so actually one deals damage with 672% off weapon ed
a2 might merc: means we have overall 1210 or 1220% off weapon ed... since decrepefy means -50% physical resistance, one deals damage with 12210 or1220% off weapon ed

waitt, does this mean a huge increase in killspeed and thus more dead monsters in the same amount of time which results in more items, more runes and more gold?.... yes it does.

damage
leech
warcry
decrepefy
+ LT does not help versus PI monsters

resis are not really a problem
you have natural resistances, anya and your eq... the far higher killspeed means that although we have less mf/gf, we still find more in the same amount of time.

Last Wish does suck compared to Grief and it is retardly expensive early in ladder. It does work for uber trist though because it has practically all of your crushing blow and a second source of life tap on the weapon meaning you can near enough wear anything else you want. Seriously.

Can't afford a baller Exile? No worries - you can use your cheapy HoZ. You got life tap covered.

Don't have a dedicated pvp or pvm smiter? No problem. For 1 point smiters, Last Wish ain't half bad. It turns pallys that were never designed to be trist smiters into 'ok' trist smiters and you only need to pay for 1 item!

Does uber meph get you down because you have ass backwards resists and not enough points in conviction? Don Last Wish and now you can ditch guilaume's tin can and wear a real man's hat - Kira's tiara. :gay:

Tired of having to wear lots of gear with crushing blow? Using Last Wish frees up lots of gear slots so you can equip your pink thong of doom.

Its a weird weapon and in terms of rate of damage it is dwarfed by the almighty Grief but for alot of people it works and late in ladder its a relatively cheap band aid. But if you already have a decent Grief ladder smiter then you totally don't ever need a Last Wish.
