Cows could behave differently though, but it sounds more likely it was cubed or Larzuked, the ilvl would match 24<ilvl<41 iirc?

Regular cows (hellbovine) are level 28/64/81, according to the files.

So, unless something very strange is going on, the sockets were added to that Flail.

Or he mistook Nightmare/Hell for Normal.
