best blocking shield is storm but whitestans requires very little dex so if you just want it as switch for melee whitestans can do the job and aloww you to vs caster more effectivly

Depends on character class.
At Sorceress lvl92 you will need 344dex to reach max block with Spirit Monarch.

Whitstan's and Moser's are both far superior for blocking.

What about a sanctuary tower shield? It gives nice block and 20 to dex, along with a shit ton of resists and some hit recovery.


Slow missiles too, haha. Imagine the expression on the other players face when his fire baller is rendered useless tongue.gif

Spirit is only good for blocking if you have +block rate and FBR from another source like Guardian Angel.
