If your sorc has 1600 gf and 350mf, then I'm pretty sure a standard GF barb build would clear trav 2-3x faster
The barb can stack up to around 2000 gf, and gets ~72% extra drops due to find item, so I'd say the barb is at minimum 5x better in terms of gold per minute

That said...
Do I recommend playing a GF barb? No absolutely not.
It's very boring and the profit to be made is extremely low.

Not anymore you can't.

In terms of clearing the mobs, the sorc is more then double the speed of barb. You one shot everything.

What i like about the sorc the most is:

I have gearswap in inventory allowing me to quickly put on 650 mf 105 fcr.
So i just play the char in TZ andy/meph/trav

Imo GF barb is usefull in 2 situations.
1. You really want to gamble, but then you have to hit at least 96 lvl to have high chance to gamble something good (which is also recommended start for crafting at least it was in LOD). If you have knowladge what ppls are searching for you might hit something nice. Just need to know player needs, also GF barb is pretty cheap champ to create all you need is some merc items and alot of lems, additionally you can swap for mf horking and running with friends for horking. Its very passive gameplay created for one reason - Travi. If you like that kind of gameplay you might hit something interesting, sometimes hr or items. If you would like to do more then grinding travi until end of the world, sorc feels better.

2. You are playing pvp and u just need gold for another belt of pots.

My personal experience: GF Barb when hit hight lvl might dress you up... just the think is, its just boring you just run over and over travi.

My personal recomendation: I would prefere barb mf with zerking or wc or ww. There are plenty of builds how to create that kind of guy, you can also keep in stash gf gear and just change suit if wanna gf travi.

You can gamble

amys at 95, for all affixes

circs at 92, for all affixes

rings at 91 if you really want the last available affix (6% mana leech) else at lvl 82 you got all other affixes

blade talons at 85

gloves (any type) at 85

boots (any type) at 81, or way before that if you want tri-res but don't care about stuff like 40mana, 9dex

Well, crafting actually changed since Terror Zones, since now you can guarantee you get an ilvl equal to your clvl +2.
Crafting: iLvl = int(cLvl/2) + int(iLvl/2)
So you can craft +2 amys from clvl 90+ as long as you get those base amys from TZs

GoldFind barb will always be the best
1 - Horking trav is op
2 - Weapon swap to 2x 6 lem weapons adds 900% goldfind. My gf barb has 2400% while horking
3 - while clear speed with gf sorce is generally faster in other areas while teleporting, collecting the gold requires doubling back and running over the piles or spamming telekinesis. Barb doubles back to hork, creating more loot.

I typically get 10M in 45 minutes to an hour. It's in top 3 builds for me. Very inexpensive to build, 2x grief, p1 games work best, hork high runes, and can watch TV without fear of dying like a squishy sorc.
Plus I've gambled 3 items that's netted me over 20k FG.

And hork also gives like double loot pretty much so; it’s nice if Trav is tz

This is fixed

Also gf barb yields way more gold than the sorc per hour

And a dual grief pb barb that isn’t pure gold find will kill trav pretty much at the same speed as a Sorc ontop of having hork.

I've gambled perfect metalgrid and steelrend. And gotten many useful amulets and rings. This ladder season, i made a barb and just did normal, nightmare and hell travincal runs. It went surprisingly well. It's fun. You get decent exp, it's easy to run. And decent items drops. The gambling goes quick ... just like in real life, lol.
