The reason ww sins can go head to head with ww barbs is because they have weapon block and 50% dr.
Way less dmg, way less life (3life per vita instead of 4 and lesser BO lvl), but the effective hp is in the end way more for the sin.
Lets say 6k life barb with only 8% dr from enigma and no block.
Vs
4k life sin with 50% dr and block
6,000 * 1.08 =6,480
4,000 * 1.5 * 1.5 =9,000
~40% more tanky
Now… can you deal at least 60% of the dmg the barb would do?
That’s where it’s hard to reach… at least if both are just ww’ing each other nonstop…
But then sin will get the edge in delayed fights, doing shorter exchanges, due to “bleeding dmg” from OW/venom.
Both flat dmg and bleeding dmg are important.
Your strategy will vary from aggressive to defensive based on the above ratio of dmg vs effective hp depending also on your opponent.
In most cases, your flat ww dmg is more important. But sometimes you can beat your opponents just by bleeding them out while you spam mind blast and use traps defensively.
Thats where crushing blow comes in
Also, def matters a lot here.
In d2lod player skill was more worth, you would use mindblast and wofs + ls to control the duel in such a way you wirled him in end of hos wirl.
Valk 08 made ur wirl go faster and therefor safer, as you would clip him quickly and be on with ur stun scenanigans immidatly after. And if barb just wirl-wirl-wirl-wirl then mb would keep on tapping his life, and you could still read where his wirl stopped and clip him. Wirl direction matters as well.
