I mean… I’d always max blizz/CM, unless some league’s rules prevent you from doing so, in which case yeah you could dump the rest of pts in orb.
But from all the rule sets I’ve ever read, blizz will always be a hard-hitting spell. Better to use all the frames between each blizz cast to reposition with tele. Casting orb for very low chip dmg is most likely just gonna offer the opponent a short time window to telestomp you.
Maybe vs hdins tho?
Cast blizz on self, cast orb at them whenever they spam hammers at a distance, to force them to telestomp you into blizz.
Also vs wind druids.
But I’d say orb is pretty useless in any other matchup. So not worth loosing pts elsewhere if its not gonna be a usefull skill most of the time.
Was thinking more in the instances where you’ll be stacked against your CM will be doing nothing so might as well max orb and do some significant extra damage that is hard to avoid and also pressures enemies to aggro you so you can bait them into blizzards.

Well, for pvp its more effective to cast ice blast or even ice glacier meanwhile.
Ice glacier can be used vs zoo, iceblast can be used to spam inbetween blizz.
And 1 skill wasted on blizz is less dmg :P
Bladt and spike are pretty slow and hard to hit outside of stomps though.
Might be a pretty niche situation but just an option - would be more fun to play as well imo since you won’t be relying on catching people with their pants down in terms of having cold stack or not and instead makes your damage more consistent
