63fcr barb is faster than most 125fcr builds, and faster than 163fcr dru etc.
And its always faster to be the hunter as you can chainlock, and you can namelock etc which allows you to teleport longer than ur screen, as well as you dont have to stop to attack.
The trade off is to big.
Loosing a secondary ring which can grant you massive ar + cnbf or oak + abs etc is also a huge trade off.
Yes vs sorc you do not need oak etc, but raven is relevant vs cold, and wisp is relevant vs light, and vs fb you use hots anyway, still u want the damage.
Stun is ruined since d2r anyway, so no point in running WC barb in pvp either. Then a 105fcr even 200fcr would be relevant, with doom and all the funzies :P
Thanks for reply, however this isn’t accurate, 63 fcr Barb moves at 9 frames, same as a 125 necro or pally. So it’s not faster, it is as fast.
Druid yes correct 63 Barb is faster than 163 Druid.
The cold sorb at loss and loss of the oak yes it’s true but situational. Oak It’s good just vs necro and I am not sure if maybe having the element of surprise and frame superiority maybe can compensate for that. Alternatively one could use a 20fcr amu instead of highlords and keep both the rings free (sure it has drawbacks).
Again not saying this is the way Barb should be played all the time, just surprised the use of a 105 fcr build isn’t mentioned in any guide. Maybe it’s because these guides are old and before weapon ias was king and now with d2r this may be an available alternative
