vs V/T


Mage vs V/T is heavily in your favor. You have equal FoH damage, usually (but not always) higher charge damage and 4-5k Hammer Damage.
All in all a rough matchup for the V/T

vs FB


Mage vs FB should be played as a V/T - FoH the sorc and bait them close, and then charge and hope for a crit (using peace armor).
While you can play it as a Libby, I find FoH is great as an irritant to bait the sorc close ( and for killing FB's when they are low ).
Once you have a Scepter with both Hammer and FoH you will start seeing results with Charge, Foh and Hammers

vs Blizz Sorc


Mage vs Blizz is pretty even. You want a specific setup here - Peace Runeword with as much damage as possible while maintaining 75% FCR. Use FoH to either bait or chip damage, while passive charging around the map casting hammers.
If and when the sorc gets too close (this will naturally happen during the course of the duel) you are looking to charge them.
A perfect charge will 1-shot a Sorc. All sorc's are unlikely to stomp you but if they do - Hammer. Movement and knowing when to charge at your opponent is key to this duel. Try to constantly keep moving, and be mindful of name-lock Blizzard.

vs Light Sorc


Mage vs Light is sorc favored, but a combination of Hammer, FoH and Charge makes it quite tricky at times for the Light Sorc.
Mana management is key to the duel. Try to constantly keep moving, rep mana when you can, use FoH and passive charge away to bait your opponent into either a hammerfield or a juicy charge hit.
Use Peace Runeword armour here

vs Windy


Facing a Wind Druid with a Libby/Mage requires mastering several key fundamentals:

(a) Mana Management: Ensure you have enough Mana that you don't run out ( = dead ).
(b) 45% Damage Reduction (DR): Using anything less is not advisable.
(c) Hammer Fields: Lay down a hammer field, move to another location to set up a new field, and then ideally backtrack to the tail end of your first hammer field and repeat the process, with your old hammers protecting you.
(d) Survivability: Avoid staying in one spot for too long to prevent a blind spot stomp, where the Druid teleports below or to the bottom right of you, potentially killing you almost instantly.

Using FoH intermittently to snipe the Oak Sage can bait the Druid into a stomp, but its not mandatory.

vs Trapper


Libby Mage vs Trapper is pretty straight forward. Charge. These are short and brutal duels, no nonsense rep to full in a corner or any of that. Either shes dies, or you die.
Duels are unlikely to last longer then a minute. There is absolutely nothing fancy here at all, you simply put Peace armour on, get as much charge damage as possible and blast towards the assassin like a nuclear missile.
The Assassin will try to block you with her Shadow Master, or position herself in a corridor or behind a rock, you really don't need to focus or dwell too much on this, just be very direct.

For Next update -

Boots

1. GoreRiders - You must use these vs Necro, Bowa and Light Sorc [ for the purposes of Deadly Strike ]
2. Inferno Stride. I use these 1v1 when vs a FB Sorc in conjuction with Peace Armor.

Optional:

3. WWS frw, 15dex, 65life, 5max fire res. all in all some very good mods here, but you need inferno's vs a fire sorc and gores are simply better vs everything else.
4. War Travs. Gores are simply better
5. Craft Mana Boots. More mana in case you need it. but replacing skillers for 20/17 (life/mana) is simply better noting the benefits of Gores and Inferno stride respectively
6. Hotspurs are banned in MLD
