With the right ESFB setup, you can go between pvm and pvp without respecing

Counterpoint, 3/15 fireball ormus for big balls of fire.

can't reach 105 fcr with an ormus build

well, there are so many options to get 105 fcr^^
u need to be more flexibility

not if you want to deal any damage. fire sorcs are top tier due to how easily you can get absurd amounts of - enemy fire res. without it, their damage and clear speed is garbage

even IF you had a viable way of reaching 105 with ormus without crippling yourself, you only get a miniscule damage increase compared to viper

I’ve tried the gear below on a fireball sorc:

- 30/30 fire rainbow jewel’d sword
- Phoenix shield
- Flickering Flame helm
- Vipermagi armor (socketed with 5/5 fire)
- Magefists
- 2/15 amulet
- SOJ / 10 FCR ring
- Sandtrek boots

The damage / clearpseed is great. I struggle with staying alive more so than most other builds as I can’t take a serious hit, or multiple hits.

Any advice appreciated. I did pure vita after using stats to equip gear. I would be curious if anyone has tried max block, or any other set up with success.

Is 30/30 really that much better than eschutas? It's just all the negative enemy fire resist that makes it slap?

you're at 95 fcr with that build. replace soj with another fcr ring to reach the 105 bp

res charms in inv, potentially a rare boot with mf and light/cold res

I wouldn't advice anyone to do es as that'll likely only leave you with mana issues and a lack of damage. max block is a big no-no.



a -30/+xx wep is almost the equivalent of having another two infy mercs. your base damage is already high on an fb sorc so all of your actual damage output comes from reducing mob resistances

eschuta does, well, nothing. +3 sks and a tiny boost to your fire mastery is nothing compared to a -30/+xx wep. try it out yourself
