Yeah and I have played it with max Nova too. With all the bells and whistle pre-buff gear you can get them both to 15ish depending on your level.

I hate pre-buffing though... So i just don't do it and sacrifice a lot of damage.

Currently with my duel setup and no pre-buff gear my TS is doing over 10k a strike. Nova pulses are around 2.5k dmg avg. 95 ES. 1k HP 3.5k Mana. (this is without the merc infinity calculated in).

Also Crescent Moon goes a long way as well for a weapon choice.
