There has been a lot of topics about Java shield, but none for hardcore…

Soo what are your opinions on HC Java? What would u change in standard gear and also shield for HC?

What would be the best for hardcore then?
Stormshield+spirit in offhand?

Depends on your gear, play style and where you are farming.

both are fine and is more of a personal preference.

If you do enough damage and farm the right areas you won't get hit at all.

Spirit and JMoC are best opinions. Spirit is more common, also HHG works.

Depends a bit on playstyle i would think. If you're a reckless player, stormshield should be a better defensive option. But if you play recklessly, you will die sooner or later anyway. Even with the most defensive survival gear, it would just take longer for the correct spike situation to appear.. but it will sooner or later.

So then you're left with the eternal dilemma, survival over functionality. And if you're good at functionality, you don't need so much survival gear. But then again, accidents can happen and we are humans, not robots. So a balance is always favorable.

I'd say spirit monarch too.

I personally just use stormshield for hardcore Java. Getting max dr is important to me.

zons are ranged, you shouldnt be getting hit at all. most ranged attacked from mobs are elemental type, not physical.

spirit is best. for both sc and hc.
