what armor is better

viper or nova ormus? someone got experience this ladder?

with viper you can use 1 soj, with ormus just fcr rings

just asking cuz i have no clue, viper works fine but maybe ormus works better, i mean soj gives huge amount of mana whats good for es, but ormus gives more dmg (but is it worth=?)

and pls dont post wearing infy is better, cuz for that i can use crescent or infy but i want that fcr cuz its so much smoother

so any experience what work better? specially on p8 games :=)

The armor where you aren’t 200fcr

And you are 105 FCR 95% ES self wielding infinity with merc holding insight

This is achieved either with v magi or enigma.

Typically people use the vmagi build

i got your opinion and it makes really sense but the 200fcr is a must for me atm, tested near all under 200fcr and its not enjoyable gameplay for me
so if you are a player what play on 125fcr there are more options, my personally best option is still with infy on merc and crescent moon/spirit for areas where light immuns are (other areas light eschutas for dmg ftw)
in the end experiences are very diffrerent

i got alot hours of gameplay this ladder, and thats what feels best atm for me, just wona test nova ormus next

maybe someone got an good light ormus what i can loan for some hours?

would pay some fg for the loan of an nova ormus ofc, but its just testing for me so dont expect much for the loan xD

The lightning damage on ormus or facets are virtually irrelevant for any fire or lightning soec build

i would agree for an lightning or chainlightning sorc

nova is a bit different in my opinion (if you play p8) for p1 ofc you nearly one hit all

but in the end maybe you right, i just wona make my own experience (didnt test it out)

I am right.

Lightning damage from ormus/facet is additive to your lightning mastery %.

For reference, let’s assume you hve 450% lightning damage

And your ormus gives you +15% lightning damage

You now have 465% lightning damage. Which is virtually a 3.3% increase in damage.

Now let’s assume lightning damage on ormus is 14%. It’a still roughly 3.3% increase. Really just a slight rounding error.

You can test a cheap ormus worh 3 nova all you want. The difference between 15% lightning damage and any other lighting damage % is negligible

And no matter how you slice it, 200fcr nova is worse than 105 FCR except if you are rushing.

i know its worse then a 105fcr, but i llike the mobility what fits my gameplay, i mean for example an eth titans is good for a java, but you only look for the ll cuz ed dont imrpove the dmg! but alot pay a shit tone for high ed one

Virtually nothing in d2 is multiplicative. There are a few exceptions. But it’s genenralt only for skills that have both a physical and elemental component.
