I have a very well geared sorc, and blood mana curse seems impossible?
how do I get around that.

Go vita light instead of eshield nova. It's a better build overall. Blood mana is only cast when your mana exceeds your health. When your life is higher than mana, a curse that greatly decreases your defense is cast instead.

I love 3k-4k mana pool, with 95% es, but yes im aware of the mechanic its just a stupid mechanic.


do you think that a plague merc would offset this? since cleansing makes curses drop quick

I didn't remember blood curse being so overpowered in regular d2...

Why is it a stupid mechanic? Because it hurts your character?

well hammerdins can spend 1k for a basic hammerdin
sorcs spend 10k-20k and are limited because it does excruciating damage...

also I don't remember in LOD that this curse did this much damage... could be wrong but I don't remember that damage being so severe

You can precast fade which reduces curse duration. Might help a bit if you are doing an area with succubi.

only if you choose ES sorc, one curse in one area of the game hurts you. You could choose vita sorc, or a different area to farm But yes, if you choose to play es sorc build in pvm, mana burner and blood mana curse will be annoying.

Don't run there. Only option.
