I realize that the usual debate says eschutas sucks, hoto good.... but with sunder charms , it seems like the socket for a facet is more valuable now? I dont have an infinity(yet), but have -25 from griff and 1 or 2 sockets(chest and weapon if I use eschuta)

in this scenario, it seems like the socket on eschutas is incredibly valuable compared to hoto. Going from 30% dmg to 35% dmg is huge? With a 2nd one in the chest I would be at 40%...

I want to see what I can accomplish without an infinity before later getting one, assuming it stacks and I get the full benefit? does it? outside facets and infintiy I cant lower the -res further , making the socket very valuable?

Thoughts on this? what would you do? is this going to suck without infinity? Aside from bosses, everything is melting and i dont even have skillers yet

hoto has 30-40 res and other things.

it's not even close.

im not too concerned about resistances(the 20 rep life is more appealing to me tbh)... the concern is that the facet socketed increases my dmg theoretically by 16.66%(ignoring the +light dmg on the facet)

/e againt broken immunities(which will be the hardest thing for me to kill)

I want to consider this debate in the scope of season 2 and sunder charms now. I think the debate has changed because without infinity the facets werent very good b4... looking for someone to correct me if im wrong about something. I tried googling this but everything is 10 years old etc.

Thx for trying to help, will probably just put a -5/3 in the eschutas and try it out i guess. I was about to put a 5/5 in but i dont wanna waste it if im somehow wrong about the -res calculation. Looking to understand how infinity stacks with sunder too... can you even get mobs to more than -100res? idk

having a facet slot is good. however +10-20% To Lightning Skill Damage is quite weak imo.

I think overall hoto surpasses this by a lot. if you don't need anything from the hoto survivability... then go eschutas.

if you can reach 200fc without fc on weapon, crescent moon might be decent

For pvm its better to go 105fcr crescent moon option.
