for pure trap assassin during Sunder Meta do I ignore putting points into fire blast or death sentry?

My gear right now is 2/20, 3/20, 5+ ls claws 2x
enigma/arach/torch/anni and skillers

I maxed shockweb, charge bolt sentry, light sentry so far

Death sentry should always be maxed.

With 2.5 Death Sentry is no longer a synergy of LS or FB iirc. You should one point Death Sentry, maxing Light Sentry first, it's synergies, then Fireblast, and remainder of points into Wake of Fire. TBH Lightning Dragonsin is > Lightning Fireblastin. Fireblast has like 10k dmg end game, whereas Dragon Tail with Tiger Strike charged does like 250,000 under conviction aura, and is arguably better boss killer than Smiter on p8.

Death sentry is your main damage dealer. And maxing it increases its AoE.



Yes there are some hybrid kick or hybrid martial arts builds where you would 1 point it. But that wasn’t the question.

Should a trapsin max death sentry? Always for pvm.

Agree to disagree? Maxroll's guide and I both lean towards LS and FB > DS. Use DS often, but just lay the traps on top of the baddies and kite them into groups to begin with.

Death sentry is a second element. It’s fire and physical.

The damage diffeeence between max fire blast damage and LS synergies and max death sentry vs max fire blast, LS synergies and wof is minimal.

But the AoE range of death sentry is huge.
