Best pally Shield for pvp phoenix? Res or ED?

Should i use a base pally shield with res or Ed? or maybe make 1 of each? Say during pvp im a smiter and im going against another smiter. should i use a phoenix with ed?

you planning on using charge cuz the ed from the phoenix don't work with smite

The Ed does work with smite

If u only gonna use 1 shield then use a 45@ pheonix st.
I dno how people get enough res without... I mean it can be done, but then ur very invested in resist else where...
Just do the math:
90 is max in inventory.
30 from Anya.
So to reach even 75 u need 55more...
30 of those are covered if perf coa.
So ur now 20 shy.
Either fcr ring, or in fcr ammy is left to cover theese just to get to 75 in hell. And u gonna face a whole bunch of builds that pierce those... So 45@ is a way better shield. Loosing 350ish ed on needing to use a spirit vs another vt that use pheonix automaticly puts u on a dissadvantage...

Shoot i already took the advice of the first person and used a 64 ed, 114 ar ST for the phoenix lol! I think it turned out only 430 ed and 18 fire sorb. oh well i want to make one with res as well. Ill use this one for melee duels. It had some ed on it too so thats cool.

Thats true i hate not having enough res.

I have a 35% fcr spirit in a ST w/ 44 res and 10% ed maybe i will empty that and make a phoenix.

Its so hard to find a ST with high res

that's a good choice for your phoenix. smiters generally don't want to use phoenix vs casters as they also need the fcr provided by spirit. on top of that you get an additional, crucial 35 res vs elemental casters
