Yes, but i prefer a bow. Crossbows are locked to 10fpa as a max cap, but -60 wsm brings that easy, so u can forexample use a melee sorc with it as secondary and dont need to think much about ias in gear. Incase ur build uses a fast pb or knife with ias in it.

There are other ways as well:
Brand: does not pierce, but shots Exploding arrows and Knockack.
Demon Machine: piercing bolt with a line of explotion.
Warshrike: allows double dream, 50% pierce and ctc nova, also great for melee for increased dmg vs single mob/boss.
Widowmaker: homing missle, always hits, but can be blocked.

Well, demon Machine is basicly like shoting fireballs slow, but with pierce.

Warshrike has higher dmg, but less direct aoe, but with 2 dream u will have 2 tics and awsome aura dmg as aoe, instead of 1 tic. And when u melee everything will multiply, typical reached damage then is between 55 and 87k on melee. Knife lets sorc reach the 9fpa attack on melee as well as is a -20 wsm base with 30base ias and 50% pierce, some physical dmg for leech and 50% deadly strike. The ctc nova is very high (25%), it will benefit heavy from light mastery etc, and u can see if u can hybrid it better towards that. Since its pierce it will trigger often. I think even 100k is possible on melee, but with other setup which plainly is so rare it dont spawn.

Stormlash is another good melee wepon, ctc static + base 1-514 light dmg which scales high! Its a -10 wsm base with +2 range adder, has 33% crushing blow base and 30ias.it also cast nado for fun, has some melee damage and can be socet.

Passion is great for zeal melee, but there exists better:
Phaseblade: 40ias/fool's/zeal charges/2 soc can even spawn with high base light dmg, but most likely u wont find that, 1 soc is fine too.
When it comes to knifes they can spawn with same stats but either:
Lower res
Life tap
Psn dagger.

Psn dagger can further be boosted with arach venom cast into like 4k dmg just for giggles.

I actually started my sorc as a Passion sorc but ended up abandoning Passion Zeal altogether for Last Wish PB. I re-did the build entirely to not rely on AR as I found balancing AR, All Res, FCR, and IAS for Zeal was a fool's errand, and I do have the gear for it including 4 OS blue armor with 3x 15% IAS / 15 All Res Jewels + Cham in it. Having to wear Angelics to carry the AR high kinda gimps the build. I found her dying or getting block/hit recovery locked a ton, and missed Zeals were super dangerous against strong packs in p8.

I re-did the build using LW and she's tanky af now. Very high single target swing with ITD but missing the Zeal AOE.

At any rate, I'll keep an eye out for Rare PB's like what you describe. If I can get a Fool's PB with the AR to support Zeal on it, it might be worth trying it out.

If Passion had ITD or -25% Target Def on it, it'd be a LOT better for the build.




For Warshrike stacked with Dreams do you mean have her melee or throw Warshrike daggers?

Does the Nova CTC proc if Socer throws it into a pack? I'll give it a shot
