in a nut shell go wake of fire through out normal

around 40-45 switch to light.

for skill break down get 1 into burst of speed / 1 into fade / 1 into mind blast/ 1 into cloak of shadows ( have to for mind blast but an amazing skill).

It is up to you I play hardcore and i think getting the shadow master is completely worth it.

Through normal - leaf staff/ stealth/ 2 ral helm really all you need and super easy

nightmare - spirit sword / rhyme shield / if you get a lem treachery armor.

with fade you get max res and decent damage reduction. Your trap laying speed is based off your ias, so until you get your res and damage reduction figured out I use burst of speed to lay traps then switch to fade to keep res and damage reduction up in hell.


you can farm anywhere really eld shenk and pindle are my normal go to as it is really fast. but pits also good. Chaos is slow at the start so i only really do that with a group.

This d2r hcl season i made 1 of each character. The first one (and only, so far) to die was the assassin, in hell. I just made a new one a couple of days ago, since i have more experience now. Just burned through normal (with sigon's and some saved gear though), maybe 1-2 hours i am in a5 already. Skilled fire blast and 4 points into burst of speed, and skilling and using wake of fire. It really does kill everything and is also strong against bosses.

Wof seems to hit twice - if monsters stand close enough to the trap, it seems to hit once when it comes out, and again when the whole fire animation has emerged.

It is a real pack killer as well.. mobs just disintegrate, rapidly.

If i didn't have the extra gear, i would skill fade a few points and use that in critical situations. I did with the first assassin, and then when reskilling in nm or hell, only using fade .. because survival is more important than running fast in hardcore.

And yes, lightning sentry and then later, death sentry, is extremely efficient and you can go all the way with it.
