Me and my friend are both leveling Amazons in HC, playing 100% together. We're about to hit the level to respec into Charged Strike, but I figured it would be more fun (and synergetic) for one of us to go a different tree.

Is there a viable and fun tree to do NM & Hell with as a Bowazon?

That sounds fun and challenging!

I recommend one go physical bowa and the other go daggerzon with shield! Focus on skilling critical strike to a respectable level; ~12 or so. Unless bowa finds great gear early, try to max guided arrow as early as possible and use only that. Daggerzon focuses on building health and defensive skills. Both also focuses on getting good level valkyrie.

Many may suggest both going javazon, which would be very damaging... but oh so challenge-less.. you can always use a reset-quest when you've reached level 40-50 and it becomes more viable.

If one of you goes Java they will kill 90% of monsters.

Best bet for early/poor bowa is FA.
Actually explodong fire arrow (forget name) is quite fun early game

So I'd suggest one cold bowa and one fire/physical for more fun combined style

Both get valk/decy and 1 might Merc and another hold freeze Merc

Not if you build it and use it correctly, hopefully find a good bow.

Freezing arrow can put out some good damage if it's fully synergized with cold arrow. It's also safe since it will stop non-cold immunes in their tracks. As long as you have a fast breakpoint, some +skills, some chance to pierce, and insight on a merc you should do well.

Cast a decoy off in the distance, wait a moment for monsters to swarm it, then shoot a few freezing arrows into the pack.

Standard phys bowa inventory except you want few +cold dmg charms in there (each adds +0.25 sec longer freeze duration).
You're already at 0.75 sec from FA and raven, try to get 1.5-2 sec total with charms. Helps with safety alot.

Max FA, cold arrow and GA, x pts in multi, crit strike enough for slvl 24, 1 pt pierce, 1 pt strafe, 1 pt in d/a/e, rest wherever you like

Dex: rest
Vit: 0 (since you're hc maybe up to 100 in vit? your call)
En: 0

Infy merc

1 magezon + 1 java

Or just go by whatever items you find and build accordingly.
Lets say u find two good javs, then 1 physical java and 1 light java..
