Was thinking of making a find item barb to run Trav with, and maybe follow chaos games to use find item on the already cleared stuff.

What armor should I use? I see people using wealth.. but would tal armor be a bad idea for the magic find and res if I need res still?

Then after a bunch of trav runs, you just gamble with the gold for ammys/circlets?

Am I thinking about this correctly?

Just have in mind that you need high level to gamble good things, at least 94.

wealth is for gf. tal armor is not. you're mixing the two and people usually don't do this. same with your off hand, people would use 6 lems there, not 6 ists. ali baba would be again socketed with lems.

So, do people think it is the "Meta" to just goldfind, and then gamble on a high level char, as opposed to going in to trav w/ high MF and doing a shit ton of runs?

In the end, you would still stack up a lot of gold and could do some gambling, but it would be significantly less I'd imagine?

how I understand it, the main focus is GF and then you hork the corpse in travincal council. you will have some mf anyway.

if the merc kills and you dual wield ali babas, theres 200 mf only from there.

Yeah go with wealth. I like the ww/zerk build over the leap build where merc kills so

On swap 2x 6 soc crystsl swords with Lems and hork bodies with them out for the gf. Barb torch, anni, gheeds, gold find charms with dmg/ar and some res ones

This is the way. I run this with Laying Of Hands over Chance Guards but it's super efficient, honesty don't bother with my merc most times. He sually gets eaten up by Hydras.

If you want to try to make a surviving merc, kira's guardian (close to 70 all res as possible) with um rune, guardian angel armor (preferably ethereal) and ebotd war pike. He will tank the hydras. The only thing that can kill him then is being overwhelmed by physical damage which the members can deal quite a bit of, and also stunlock him. But if you manage to have them attack him 1-3 at a time, he should be able to deal with them then. Especially if you use the amplify damage charges from gavel of pain on switch. It's a little bit of a hassle but it ensures his victory and also speeds the killing up a little bit, so you don't lose much time on it.

I think I prefer to just not have to rely on him at all and resurrect when it's convenient. He'll survive a couple runs in a row here or there but mostly just a waste of time, the Might aura is nice but not game changing IMO.

Infin on A2 Might Merc is sweet on Barbs too; lets you focus on shit other than AR%, and you can reach 95% hit chance vs. Stone Skins, which is the bulk of what will slow down runs normally.
