Does anyone know why the blade trap skills feel like they are scaling so poorly? I just upped my pair of eth bartucs and gained like 50 something top end dmg and it felt like it barely gave any damage with every synergy maxed. Like does Enhanced Damage scale better than the weapon damage?

Little confused also wondering about how the % dmg from claw mastery scales

Claws in general have low damage when compared to swords/axes etc.

Physical damage scales poorly on assassin unless you have a 2os Eth rep war fist with either 280+Ed with fools mod or 400+ ED

Hmmmmm I thought so do you think an eth oath zerker axe or something would be a better option later? even > claw mastery

Doubtful.

The problem is how assassin functions and the weapons available.

You won’t ever be able to scale the damage to enough to matter unless you have claws that have yet to spawn on d2r, and likely never will.

They would need to essentially double the ED% modifier on the blade fury skill to give you enogu ED% to deal enoguh damage.

You need high damage weapons. Bartucs are really bad. Death eth ettin axe is a very solid option. Have in mind that ias does not work with blade fury.

You don't even need self rep or zod if you are only using blade fury, it does not lower dura (but i don't know if they changed this in the new version)

Ya working on it endgame I’m hoping for some high ass ED rare claws but I’ll probably end up making an oath

Use an eth warfist.
U dont need ias unless ur also using other skills.
It dont drain dura, but other skills do.

You should use an eth reaper’s toll

AFAIK it doesn’t even reduce durability as long as you don’t “attack” with it other than blade skills, so u don’t even have to zod it

Blade fury will proc decrepify which reduces their phys resist by 50% and slows them, besides reaper’s just having good damage

You could put an Ohm in for more % ed

Bladefury was viable as p8 play true Singleplayer even before its buff. But it aint fast in hell, its also hard to combine with traps due to slow start and stop animation.
It was very safe though.

Now the skill itself has been buffed as well as pheonix dont interupt anymore.

Either use an pride merc or an eth reapers merc. With might aura.

Mine was 1 tapping chaos monsters in p8 Nightmare with none eth bartucs, and in hell it was 3 tapping them with bartucs. U can actually get pretty good damage. I had a pvp version on asgard for fun, which was none buffed d2lod. And it ended up with 4,6k (dual claws) physical damage and aboutly 100% chance to double it with 5ctc amp as well. It even slayed in pvp if u manage to land hits(which was hard, its not a good pvp char, but it was fun)

The skill cant pierce, so giving it alblility to pierce and faster starting and stopping animation would be a better buff than the dmg buff.

Yeah, those are the two main problems of that skill. I wish they make those changes. But they don't even know to make a decent lobby. Fixing a skill is way out of their league :rofl:
