Guys i havent played d2 since 1.09 is Nova still a thing in D2?

if so what have changed? or is ut unchanged? will it be viable now for d2? or is it much other and better OP builds for sorc nowdays? =)
also how to spec it skill wise

Best setup for pvm is:

Low Str/Dex requirement infinity with high - lightning resist (very important to have high - lightning resist)
Enigma
Griffons With facet
Magefist
Arach
2sorc/20 FCR amulet
2x 10fcr rings
Aldurs boots Or rare boots with frw fhr and res or treks if lazy.

Vita sorc

Merc uses insight and fort or treachery along with andarials helm.

Max nova and all synergies and lightning mastery. 1 point chilling armor. 1 point warmth.

What’s the point of enigma if u don’t need any str anyway

Just take a viper, opens up a socket with a 5-5 and use sojs over fcr rings. Extra socket, more skills

your right. its great pvm or use a CoH. but pvp enigma has uses also and same with viper but its preference and the BPS you wanna hit at that point. pvm id say enigma all DEE WAAAY.

Just useless for a nova sorc, you sacrifice -5 resist from a facet which will give you insane amounts of dmg and also 3 skills for some defensive mods that aren’t even that good on a char that has low life anyway.

Use enigma on your cmoon light sorc, not on a nova sorc

nah nah Tals set Nova/ES + phoenix + infinity merc = easy pvm big MF
no room for MF on other nova sorc builds

How is +1 viper +1 soj “more skills” than +2 Nigma?

Already -70ish res from Griff/Infinity before any facets.

Nigma is the best armor in the game

He’s using 2 fcr rings

Viper + 2x soj = 3 skills

Enigma = 2 skills

-5 res from a facet = 5% more total dmg vs non immunes and up to even 10% more dmg to immunes alone (only the facet)

It’s not rocket science

Also you realize that conviction only works at a 1/5 rate and only removes 17 resistance from immunities rather than 85 right?

While enigma has mf and some other stuff like frw (which arguably has nearly no purpose in pvm) the dmg is actually far inferior
