Hi guys, trying to learn all this wsm and trap laying speed on a ghost sin i recently started building...

I have a fools mod with 15 ias jewel suwayyah and a runic talon chaos,

which one should i equip on the glove side, which one do i equip on the boot side, and how to wsm it?

Seems like my trap laying speed is pretty slow. Did I shoot myself in the foot with the weapon choices? lol any help appreciate it, thanks

Runic has -30 wsm + 35 ias from chaos runeword

Suwayyah has 0 wsm + 15 ias from the jewel

So you should equip the runic (faster claw) boot side and your slower suwayyah on glove side

Then you pick up and place your suwayyah to wsm bug it, you have to do this any time you switch weapons to bo and such.

You really want your chaos in suwayyah and a fools runic/feral though, you might be a bit shy of the bp with ur chaos (I don't remember the bp, it's been a while..)

would adding a 15% ias ed jewel into my circlet help? im also wearing highlords

U shot urself in the knee a little yes.

1. Fool's should always be main claw and main claw should always be fastest claw.
This is due to the fact that if u miss with ur chaos which will hit first cause main, then both claws will operate with that hit chance until u hit again.
2. U cannot manual WSM bug in d2r. So ur stuck with chaos runic as main claw over gloves.
Currently ur claws wsm is average (-30+0)/2 = -15 wsm.

So what works in D2R is automatic wsm bug. But this is really impossible to pull off on a runic claw even though chaos adds 10 str. Because runic claw has 115 requirements which is highest for claws^^ so u cannot wsm bug with them either.

Ideally you should run both runics atm.

With -15 wsm setup u got now with chaos as main ur currently on 35 ias.
This gives u a traplaying speed of 11 frames with fade setup.
U need 42 ias for 10 frames.
U need 75 ias for 9 frames.

I would swap that fools claw.

So no manual wsm thats a bummer. I have a few options i'd like your thought on:

Get a chaos suwayyah, change the runic to a fury
Get a fools runic, keep chaos runic
get a fury runic, keep chaos runic

I suppose circlet ias jewel, and highlords ias don't matter as much in this?

mnual wsm bug does not work on d2r.




you need claws that can autowsm if you want to use that.

suwayyah has lower req than runic so it can be not be done with that combo.
also this would place your fools claw in offhand which is not ideal.

imo if you want to make use of that fools claw, use normal equipping placing it primary above gloves, and just aim for the bp with -15wsm (average between the two claws)

however.. is fools all that the suwayyah is offering you? because if so.. ditch that claw.
no open sockets for ow%, difficult base to make use of, and if it doesnt have good damage.. you are probably better off with 2x chaos.

not every fools claw is worth using, actually most aren't. you need a fools claw with good base and good ed% to make it worthwhile.
ar, trap speed, damage, all 3. not just 1 or 2 of the 3.

so by your recommendation, which of the 3 routes should i go for?

1. fury runic talon, keep current chaos
2. chaos swayyah, turn current chaos to fury
3. search for a good fools runic with the 3 attributes you mentioned, keep current chaos

1 or 3

suwayyah chaos was used for manual wsm bugging which is no longer a thing
it may still be possible to use autowsm with a scissor suwayyah chaos but have not tested it yet

Im also a fan of 2x chaos for a budget build if you want that as a temp while you try to get a good fools claw.
chaos is a 340ed/25ow/35ias claw

if you cant get a wsm setup working, which is difficult for ghosts and hybridsins, it's probably best to use 2x runics and normal equipping.

Actually my ultimate goal is to hit the 9 fps trap laying speed while maintaining good damage.

I suppose that means double chaos or chaos and fury both in runic talons until something better comes along the way?
