Since a lot of people dont understand str bug and how it works ill try to make a simple guide here.
Why str bug:
It hides the str bugged items stats from server, mainly used to hide the frw parts to make u move slower than you actually do in ur enemies screen, but stuff like ias/fcr is also hidden a little and thats why forexample hammer/smiter/nec etc hits you before their animation of forexample bonespear spears, the character appear a little late also when you people. So u surpice them more when you jump them.
Why can we str bug? :
It came together with charms, server dont read charms stats correctly.
Dex bug:
Works the same as str bug, equipment needing high dex like pb, javs or some polearms can be dex bugged.
Some people loose their gear:
* Yes, because they take of their str giving items. Ur only supposed to flash some of them. Never take of the str giving items without emediate putting them back in their slot unless you know what ur doing. (always keep track of ur str sort of say)
* people str bugging with wep slot 2(barbs, titan zons etc) can loose their item if they currently was at their low str side when dying. This only happens if u pick body once, and dont swap side to (str bo clubs) and pick up rest before u save and exit(or drop).
This can happen by dropping, constantly nking, pvming etc. The safest approuch is this:
1. Die
2. Dont fucking click ur body
3. Save and exit
4. Join game(same or different or whatever)
5. Pick up body safely in Town where no1 can kill u
Str bugging with enigma:
There are some formulas worth knowing:
[] = Round down
* How much can i max stat = Eni requirements - [0,75*clvl] - base str - 1
* total str = all str sources summed
* visible str = base + stat + none str bugged items(eni is an visible until you flash it away, explained down below somewhere) (charms are never visible str).
Example:
A Paladin at level 97 uses a 19str ring as his only str source appart from enigma itself and perfect torch and annie. How much str would he need in ammu to wear his gear and be str bugged with his enigma AP?
First we check how much str he needs:
103(requirement) - 25(base) - 19(ring) - 40(invent) = 19 str.
Oki, so he could be getting himself a amulet with 19str.
But he got an ammu with 16str, can he str bug with this?
Now we check how much str he can stat using the formula above.
103 - [0,75*97] - 25 - 1
103 - 72 - 25 - 1 = 5
Just to check that we can wear eni we now sum it up:
25(base)+5(statted)+40(invent)+19(ring)+16(ammu) = 105
Yes we can use enigma. And infact we only need to stat 3 str. Giving us a total of 103 before eni adds, which was 72 at this level.
Which means we can carry high str items like coa(174).
103+72 = 175.
Now we check the visible str, we see if its lower than the eni requirements (103) :
25+3+19+16+(0,75*clvl) = 135.
Oh no, we are not str bugged... Cause eni carry itself.
We fix this by flashing forexample the ring(usually the item with low requirements giving high str, but dont flash frw related stuff).
When we flash the ring for a brief moment we cannot use enigma.
Because our str without ring is:
25+3+16+40 = 84.
This way server did not calculate the eni str correct, due to the fact it dont know its still on before it is replaced again. (which happens if u manually replaced it, or die, then you would loose str bug. If u brb u are still str bugged.)
Ur ring is still an visible str source.
So ur visible str is now:
25(base) +3(statted) +19(ring) +16(ammu) = 63.
Every item with requirements above this amount (63) is also str bugged now.
unless they add str internally and its higher than its requirements.
Forexample:
War travs. War travs add 10 str.
Requirements(95) - 63 - internal str(10) - 1 = 18 (as Long as this number is 0 or higher they are str bugged).
Strengt bugging with wep swap:
Barb:
Barb might want to str bug with the help of his secondary bo weps, 3wc/50str club forexample.
So a barb got base str 30.
Lets see if a lvl 99 barb can str bug with eni ap:
103 - 30 - [0,75*99] - 1 =
103 - 30 - 74 - 1 = - 2 <-- The number is below 0, so he cannot str bug with this... He usually then go eni Wire fleece(111str)
So at what level can he str bug with a eni ap?
Well he need to get 2 less str in his eni from level.
99 * 0,75 = 74,25 = 74
98 * 0,75 = 73, 5
97 * 0,75 = 72,75 = 72 (at this level and lower he can str bug with eni ap).
Because:
103 - 72 - 30 - 1 = 0 (positive number)
Oki, barb level 99, he want to str bug his enigma Wire fleece(111) :
30 base + 40 invent = 70.
The 63fcr barbs uses fcr ring, which max can add 25str.
70 + 25 = 95 which is below 111.
Normally he want to have the possible to wear different helmes and amulet like hl and angelic. So adding str from helm leaves you with only 1 helm choice. He would also be bound to a str giving ring since circlets adds max 30str, unless you jool them with str.
He could maby stat some:
111 - 30 - 74 - 1 = 6.
95 + 6 = 101, so wont help.
So barbs usually add the remaining str by bo side. Wc/str clubs.
70 + 50 = 120.
120 wears eni by ez, and when u swap to grief + beast side your at only 70 str so eni becomes bugged. And visible str would only be the 30 base. The 40 str from beast wont matter here, cause 40 + 40 = 80 which is to low to display. U simply cannot wear beast with 70str(at least the server str calculation thinks so)
Back in the days you could wsg and swap back to str giving clubs without loosing str bug. But im a bit u certain now, cause to deal with auto wsm bug they changed some stuff, when you wsg (wepon switch glitch) they actually replace the items back in slots in a certain numberous way, im uncertain if this is only the weps or all items. Anyway, u will always be str bugged on ur grief + beast side.
Str bugging without enigma:
Lets say we are an bow amazon, we use forti and want to str bug our gear.
Ama starting str is: 20
We use:
Str requirements:
Forti ap(103), titans eth upped(97), wts(95), stormshield - 15req(133), faith gmb(108).
Str adds:
Bug belt(15), wts(10), invent(40), titans(20), stormshield(35), gloves (15)
Base(20) + invent(40) + bug belt(15) + gloves(15) = 90
Next step would be to use wts(95).
We need to stat 5 str to do so.
Which leaves us at 95. + 10 from wts = 105.
Now we suddenly got enough to wear titans(ofc ap as well)
105 + 20 = 125. We miss 8 str to wear stormshield.
So we stat those as well and land at 133 + 35 added from stormshield which is 168.
Now what is our visible str:
20(base) + 5(statted) + 8(statted again) + 15(bug belt) + 15(gloves) = 63.
Now we need to check that internal str dont mess on each item:
63 + 10 = 73 (wts 95 are str bugged)
63 + 20 = 83 (titans 97 are str bugged)
63 + 35 = 98 (stormshield 133 are str bugged)
Oki, so its a success. Should not be needing to flash any items as Long as we wsg once i think. Since our visible str is only 63.
Gloves are not str bugged(most likely, depends on type) and bug belt need 51 if i remember correct so is not str bugged either.
But what happens if we decided to not use - 15req in stormshield, such that it needed 156 str instead of 133.
But next problem is:
I want to use hots or infernostrides as well. (without putting a 10+ str giving ring). This will make us loose the 10str from wts and titans and all items above 95str req would not be wearable. We would need to add 7 str to wear titans instead of the 5, and then land at 97 + 20 = 117.
We would need to stat 16 str to wear storm instead of 8.
Which gives visible str:
20 + 7 + 16 + 15 + 15 = 73.
73 + 10 = 83 aka wts are ok.
73 + 20 = 93 which means the str added internally in titans wont affect anything above our limit. So yes, it can also be done.
But lets say we wanted to wear stormshield without -req jool.
This means our visible str would be higher.
156-133 = 23.
So that means we first stat the 5 for wts, then 23+8 = 31.
So 20 + 5 + 31 + 15 + 15 = 86.
86 + 10 = 96(wts not str bugged).
96 + 20 = 116 (titans not str bugged)
116 + 35 = 151 (stormshield str bugged)
116 > 108 so faith gmb not str bugged either.
The reason for not using - 15req in stormshield would be in the case that u used a rare 2/30/2soc helm and then needed the 15ias from jool, which then would best possible be solved by having a 2/30/2/str helm. Or if any wierdo american build the math must be done from scratch xD
Char starting str:
Soso: 10
Druid: 15
Nec: 15
Assa: 20
Ama: 20
Pala: 25
Barb: 30
87 - 10 - 74 - 1 = 2 (soso can str bug with Wyrmhide eni at any level, and can stat 2 str at level 99)
95 - 15 - 74 - 1 = 5 (nec and dudu can str bug with scarab husk at any level, and ar level 99 stat 5 str)
95 - 20 - 74 - 1 = 0 (ama and assa can always str bug with scarab husk, but can not stat any str in lvl 99)
103 - 25 - 74 - 1 = 3 (pala can always str bug with ap, and at level 99 can stat 3 str)
111 - 30 - 74 - 1 = 6 (barb can always str bug with Wire fleece, and can stat 6 str in level 99)
Lower levels might use other bases:
Eni req - base str - [0,75*clvl]-1
