how does Monsters become stronger work, does it only scale for hp or does it affect damage and stats as well?

Also, as a side note, CE seems to scale less effectively the more players there are.

The hitpoints of monsters, number of drops from monsters and chests, amount of gold dropped, and quality of drops all scale according to the number of players

I was unable to find a proper source to confirm this, I think that monster damage also increases.

Damage does not increase with player count.

I believe the monsters much stronger, to a degree. Corpse Explosion doesn't seem to work well when you use a Unique Monster's Corpse despite it having seemingly more HP.

Amazon basin states that you do less damage with CE if you are Cursed?

EDIT: CE based on 70-120% of its normal average base life. So does not apply to Uniques.

Also, Only -5% Enemy Fire Resistance Applies for CE, rather than +% Fire Skill Damage. Damage does not increase with Player Count!

@testic - the amount of drops scale with the number of players but the quality of drops does not. And yes, monster damage and attack rating also increases.

In all games, Hit points & Experience points increase with more players in game (+50% of the base, for each new player).
In all games, number of drops tend to increase (a stat called "NoDrop" and associated to each Treasure Class decreases), though the effect is much more noticable when the number of drops was initially low (ie : normal monsters).

In Ladder and SP nightmare & hell games, base damage and poison length increases (+6.25% of the base) for each new player in game. No such thing happens to attack rating, however.

Indeed, Corpse Explosion doesn't scale the new amount of HP of monsters. That's why only 1 CE is enough in solo games to get rid off huge packs of monsters, whereas you need to cast it several times in full games for the same effect.
The same happens for Crushing blow.
Fortunately, the same happens also for hostile Death damage (from dolls or suicide minions) and Nihlathak's Corpse explosion

On the contrary, Static shield has its effect calculated according to the current life of monsters. It's by far the #1 skill to use in full games.

The same occurs for Crushing blow.

What does that mean?
