basically if I go off of these charts then it's impossible for a +5 or +6 oak sage helm to spawn?

+2 druid skills is affix lvl 50 and +2 dudu summon is affix lvl 40.... these are higher than tier 2

the best you could do would be a +1druid/+3oak

or +1dudu summon/ +3 oak

+6 Oak helm is impossible.

But +5 Oak is possible.

Affix level 50 (+2 druid skill) doesn't mean item level 50 :
a high quality level Pelt may have affix level 50 with low item level (low enough to spawn Tier 2 skills, like Oak).

You can produce a low item level rare Pelt with :
- rolling recipes ( 6 p.skulls, or 1 p.skull + 1 SoJ)
- imbuing

Aim at item level 12-18 for the best chance of spawning +X Oak.

Dream spirit with item level 12-18 has affix level 71,
Sky spirit with item level 12-18 has affix level 67,
Earth spirit with item level 12-18 has affix level 53.

Since those recipes only work with rare quality items, you cannot do the same with magic Pelts.
Hence +6 Oak isn't possible (+3 to Summon is a magic-only affix).

basically you would have to imbue or roll a 5 oak helm...... It won't actually spawn in the game?

I'm sorry, i'm just having a little trouble understanding the differences between qlvl ilvl etc and how they affect what mods can spawn

basically to get an ilvl 12-18 pelt you would have to look somewhere roughly in a2 norm?

i'm basing this off of the area lvl of that act & difficulty

feanur,

I read through the item generation tutorial thread from your page. Basically to get that low of staffmods need to roll low ilvl rare pelt with a lvl1 char or something like that. I'll read through it in more detail when I have more time but that's the gist of it

Yes it won't.

Nothing surprising, Diablo 2 uses a lot of hidden values for the item generation. It takes time to have a precise overview.

But you will never see elite helms as Dream spirit drop in normal game...

feanur,

If you imbue, you just need to lay your hands on a non-magic Dream/Sky/Earth spirit. It must be unsocket, and you must be aware that if it is etheral, it will remain etheral (good or bad thing, it's up to you).

Use char level 8 to 14 to produce a rare Pelt of iLvl 12 to 18 (best chance to roll +X Oak).

If you fail, you can roll this helm with p.skulls (for example).

You want item level to stay in the range 12-18.

With 6p.skulls, output iLvl = int(0.4 x Char level) + int(0.4 x input iLvl)

So if you roll this iLvl 12-18 rare pelt with char level 20-29, it will stay at iLvl 12-18, no matter how many rolls you make.

You can also start the process with a random rare pelt (for example Baal's drop).
Use char level 1 for your first rolls, iLvl will decrease faster to your desired range.
Ignore the first roll (6 p.skulls wasted), check your second roll (you're already in the good range).
For the third and all other rolls to come, use char level 20-29.

Good luck !
