well I have done pretty much every build in diablo and im getting bored. Now that the tokens are out there you can rebuild your char as many times as you like and I happen to have a blizz sorc atm...

Blizz is ok in pvp but I still dont think its a fun build so I thought about making a frost nova build.
Frost nova has kinda low damage and compared to the regular nova where you can also use infinity, I dont really know how this will turn out.

This is my eq tho, feel free to reply what changes I should make if any

remember, this is supposed to be a pvp build and I need help with the skill settings. Is it better to max frost/blizz/orb/and get 36 skill in mastery or to max frost/bliz/36 mastery and then go with thunder storm and rest on lightning mastery or none of them?!

Tell me your thoughts and theories please =)

also try and go es with max block and higher fhr

your dmg output would not be sufficient enough to kill anyone in pubs :/

frost nova is made to work with blizzard skill as a combo instead of plain strong blizzard

I was bored so I used token with that eq and as my surprise, i powned ppl in pvp I was totally shocked

also, with doom i would make less damage right? and cold mastery already makes -195 res vs cold so i think damage is the crutial factor. Correct me if Im wrong =P

1 in the rest of all skills in lightning section for thunder storm as additional damage =)

planning on getting level 90 or so and put stats on chilling armor aswell.

try cta 1es on switch 1 in tele 20 telekenisis (nn thunder)

if precasted 95%es, take ormus, if not your setup sound like a option.

howmatch es you have? for low es you have low life
1k life you must get ez from inventory+bo

if lower es, try get more life

works better than light nova in pvp, but you need max block / dr / vita to be effective
es hurts your damage too much and frost nova is a hog and you get no light skill bonuses


the real problem is that you HAVE to tank with frost nova. With blizzard u can go es because you can avoid people and regenerate. With frost nova, ur teleing on top of them and spamming. If u were es, u would break in half and die. with max block / dr, u can outtank most people and kill them, especially with good shiver armor. great vs bvc, etc.

what shield did u go with?

imo this build without 4k mana and 95 es will be a pure fail:/

i'd go wtih 95es with no precast + 4k mana (with nice items achievable), 105/86 breakpoints and ofc doom build

itanz: viper rbfed, nw, spirit, 2soso/20fcr amy, 2 sojs, arak, frosties, mana boots,
gz life/manas + skillers with life/fhr, torch, anni, 3es cta (if u cant reach 95es with maxed es and this setup u'll need 9es memo and some little precast than).

skills: Mastery and nova must be maxed ofc, mxa es and tk, 1 thunderstorm to piss off opponents, rest into wamrth i think... oh and maby 1 pt into orb to finish low life opponents from distance

but still this build is rather for dueling tal sorces and ik barbs;)

That is why the chars you build suck: Because you are bad at it.
A good frost nova sorc is better than a good light nova sorc, and they are shabby already. It will compete against many builds quite well, and only lose hard to a few.



You have no understanding of the purpose of ES if you think a frost nova sorc needs energy shield. Energy shield is useless for straight up tanking, like this build needs. You teleport on top of people and spam frost nova- you need to survive in that time. An ES build will get you almost instantly killed if you attempt this. ES is used on sorcs who are flighty and can use their time to regenerate the damage. If an ES sorc keeps kiting for 20 seconds, she'll heal back to full- otherwise vitality build is preferable.

you'll get hit by 4 physical hits in ES for every 1 in 75% block vita. Those 4 hits could easily break your ES and wreck you.
An es sorc trying to tank a bvc is a joke.
A 7500 defense 2600 hp 50% dr 75% block sorc that deals back 500 damage on every swing, is not
