D2LOD : If I am chilled in PVP, will I block less because my block rate will be reduced? Couldn't find any info elsewhere or on D2JSP.

Thanks guys.

OP is talking about block rate, not about block chance

honestly not sure. AB explicitly states that for example the Evade animation length depends on factors like chill. i couldnt find info for block animation with a quick search, so i tend to say that block animation length is only decided by fbr frames. you may look into AB's sources and work your way from there

That's correct. Block Rate, not Block Chance.

I tried AB and did a lot of research, but couldn't find my answer. Fingers crossed someone who knows finds this post.

actually your question provokes another one: what is the actual meaning of block frames? does a block length of 6 frames mean that you cant do active stuff for those 6 frames (like moving, attacking, skill usage, ...) or that you cant get another block within these 6 frames?

I was told that you can cast or attack melee during the block animation.

for d2r

Character hit block will no longer apply while your character is playing a skill pre-cast animation (Block will still trigger for the skill's post-cast animation).
Developer Comments: We want to fix some of the awkward lockouts that reject player input from casting skills. For PVP, we added a way to reduce hit recovery spam to prevent edge cases of characters being locked out for too long.

not sure if fbr is effected bye chill, since fhr and cast speed is not

Chilled targets are blue in color and move (and sometimes attack) much slower.
