i have recently remembered playing a bowazon on d2 lod like 15 years ago, with coh, faith, gaze and all.
is a bowazon still a viable pvm build that kills monsters rather quickly in p8 games?

any feedback is appreciated, mostly regarding kill speed but also regarding gear choices.

also, speaking generally here, if there are any good d2r character guides out there (which I can't seem to find), I'd appreciate it you could kindly link them to me.
all the guides that I can find are mostly from 2006 or something and designated for d2 lod.

A hybrid freezing arrow/phy dmg is good for players 1.

relating to skill speed, bowa is simply not top tier (and i main as bowa)

in terms of kill speed its quite hard to beat a java / light sorc and the top builds. a mosaic assassin melts everything as well.

I already have a java and a light sorc. Happy to try out new stuff.
My light sorc is wearing tals set, has just 34k lightning dmg and is still plowing through hell like its nothing.

strong recommend mosaic assa, as nothing like it was seen in d2lod.

Look, java and light sorc were the fastest killers in p8 games by far. There is nothing close to them. In this season they have added the mosaic assa, but you have to get the charges up, wich can be troublesome to some players.
Hammer is also very strong, more sturdy but slower and harder to aim.
Blizz with good items can also hit like a truck, but also kinda weird to aim. Last season was greatly buffed by sunder charms, now they have nerfed a bit the cold mastery, but it's still strong.

You can make the strafe version with regular faith setup, and atma's scarab. When amp triggers, enemies will die rather quickly even on p8. But it will not be as nearly as fast as javazon. Ice bowa also struggles. You shoot like 6-8 freezing arrows before they start dying even if they're bunched up. But it can work.

Wind force with pride/might merc wearing atmas and running strafe is the most competitive pvm bow build. You still hit max ias with strafe since it uses a different breakpoint, but you get the highest possible damage with amp. It actually has decent p8 clear with good attack rating.

I always liked the freezing arrow build but idk about it for p8. With the strafe bug fixed it might be able to handle p8. Not sure thought.
