hi there

i'm looking to build a pvm barbarian and I know nothing about barbarians.

the target setting for this barb is
- supporting my other chars with a good bo (so i'm thinking 2x hoto in the off hand slots and maybe a couple of warcry skill gcs)
- he should be able to kill/whirlwind through a couple of hell mobs without instantly dying and maybe actually be able to put out damage

could you kindly support me in a build?

I appreciate any feedback regarding stats, skills and gear (incl. inventory).

Try to have 12+ life leech ir more and 3%+ mana leech

which breakpoints should I aim for, e.g. in increased attack speed?

and really two grief pb's?
i haven't played barbarians in like 15 years or more, but don't grief PB's have like 50 max damage and as a result the dmg output of the barb will be low?

Oh, boy…

Grief is the highest dmg weapon in the game.

Besides - barbs suck for general PvM. Except few specific use cases. Why do you want to make this char, exactly…?

well I have three d2r versions which I am usually running in parallel.
And I thought having a barbarian would be nice, first and foremost for the bo. But also as a support in dmg, even though that would not necessarily be needed.
I haven't played a barbarian in ages, that's why I wanted to give it a try.

If you say barbs aren't well equipped for pvm anyway, then I think I'll just create a bo barb and let that be it.

If you already have a sorc, java, hammer or what have you, then splitting attention to a barb WW would just slow you down.

I assume the gear would go like this:
2 hotos
enigma
2 sojs
arach
5 or 6 bo helmet
3 warcry amulet
which kind of gloves? magefist maybe?
which boots make sense?

inventory: 9 warcry skillers and couple life scs

does that sound about right?
and which %fcr breakpoint would make sense?

1x hoto
1x cta 3/3/3
2 skill armor
Arach
2x soj or bk
3 wc armor
6bo helm

9 wc gc
Torch
Anni

You don’t need more than this

a bvb with taunt might be useful for you.

Or you can just get a cta
