Where can I read the rules for hld pvp and tournaments?

there are different rulesets on all regions that are not the same, it depends where you play, if you are on EU have them all with links, the rulesets most people follow in EU pubs are from D2A but also if ur playing tours depending who are hosting them the rulesets may differ but you are informed with links before to all rules via discord

EU have more item restrictions compared to NA, on NA you are allowed to use more items that have known bugs and can be abused, but the abuse is ofcourse banned while on EU the items are banned completly, Asia is basically the wild west with no block restrictions etc

There is probably 5 different PVP leagues, and then 5 different discord channels, then 3 different regions (EU/ASIA/US) then you can determine, that nobody has a definitive answer, because somebody from some other league will say that is bm, or this is bm, or this is gm, or that is stupid, or this game is stupid, or pvp is stupid, or just stupid.

PVP is just, adhering to rules for whatever league you are in, or you can just pub and do whatever the fuck you want and some people might call you a noob, just nk them, then get nked, then save and exit, then cause them to save and exit, then they bring in a BO barb, then you counter with a bone necromancer, then they use slow missle, then you just leave because you did your job and caused them to BM too, then the game is ruined because everyone is BM now, and people take sides. You could also just be a paladin with charge and try your luck at one shotting, or stick to blizzard and just spam blizzard everywhere with maxed out damage. You can also try a paladin with max absorb and DR gear with summons and bm the moor, but then you get arrows shot at you from a BO/Chanted/Fanat/Conc amazon. Either that, or you get impaled.

D2 PVP is either fun or cancer, or both. Don't buy into any of these leagues where people buy gear and spend every waking hour using C/T tryhard mode to exploit the inventory and character screen expansion. Its just a shitshow. Keep it that way and the balance will be preserved.

Or you can join some league and be a tryhard too.

c/t is great for pvm too, i wouldn't call it tryhard since it's easy to do with minimal practice. it just sucks that the larger screen in D2R changed where the corners are if you were used to D2LOD

anywho, i would say d2 dueling/pvp is a game that's all about each player's perception of honor.. respecting it, besmirching it, and a lack thereof as well
