Could any vets in this game give me a ball park? Id rather not grind for a few billion isk to buy a decent pilot. The time it will take for me to get serveral million sp and being someones bitch tackle in a corp deters me from playing. Rather than doing that, I would rather buy isk on a site, or get fg and buy it on d2jsp. Question is what are the odds of getting banned on an account if I buy isk from a competent seller?

I used to trade a good deal of isk and never got banned, but all of my transactions were < 10 bil and i tried to be discreet. Only time i heard of someone getting banned from jsp trading was when the buyer ratted him out to ccp as a way to get revenge on him or something. that said, ccp does consider jsp trading rmt so there is always a chance. usually the seller is banned and the buyer just gets a warning and the isk taken i think.

It depends on a few things. First and foremost how discrete you are and what method of transaction you use. Be dumb in this stage and you're banned for sure. Be smart and the risk gets put on the seller, if the seller continues selling isk without thinking and gets caught CCP will check the history and ban you as well, guaranteed (already happened to someone on JSP).

I do believe your view of EVE is jaded though, just because you don't have 20+ million sp doesn't mean you're automatically a suicide tackler. If you join some large 0.0 alliance then yes you will be a bitch tackler, but that is just one of many viable choices.

Its nice to know people still talk about my eve story :P

Im so tired of addressing the OP. But yes, if you apparently make nerds mad on the internet via calling a JSP tagged scammer - a scammer - (who would have known the guy would have gotten belligerent) then you are most likely in the crosshairs for a few dozen petitions from him and all of his toons.

It happened to me.

Basically, you can get away with anything you want to as long as you aren't dumb. I don't care to go into detail because Iv done it so many times.
