obviously im looking at guides and what not but id rather hear from the player first what are good ideas for a beginning new person in eve

well that depends on how new you are?

First any new player should use somebodys referal link.. You get 21 days free time when you upgrade any time left becomes payed time so if u upgrade first day u get 51 days. tht is plenty of time to get eve on a self sustaining basis

I mine a lot of ice and thats good isk per day. also do PI and rat anomolys. it helps being in a good corp also

Try to figure out what you would like to do in eve online first of all.
Mining might feel nice at start and it can certainly make you litle isk but its very very boring in long run.

One of intresting ways to make money is exploration where you basically scan down relic and data sites and hack them to get stuff off from them. You have to first do it in highsec and when you get hang of piloting ships you are ready to step to lowsec since its pretty much riskfree if you know what you are doing.. After you have gained some SP(Skill Points) towards exploration you are ready to step down into nullsec exploration where you can make ALOT of money.

Best things about exploration that theres same elements in it as there is in PvP and you learn to know how to navigate safely in nullsec while some of the skills that you use to train exploration is also usefull in pvp.

Other than that if you are good in markets you can make like 500mil isk/day with minimal playing of the game but it requires one character to stay in big tradehubs and to have some trading skills.
trading is also but boring but its fun to make alot of money for some people.

Average time i pay my trader to make something like 500mil isk 2hours so its great income if you have 2 accounts and just occasionally update market stuff.

Edit: To rake money in market you still need bit capital
