Don't know what freelancer is but yes EVE has changed a lot the past few years.

If you are starting fresh I'd suggest using a buddy invite, such as this one: https://secure.eveonline.com/trial/?invc=47a5cfa4-098e-418c-a971-305a4a1e753a&action=buddy

noticed that some does not even concider it a game any more... what FUN things can you do in it that does not involve waiting 30day to level a skill?

its an acquired taste really. for me its more of a second monitor game. mine on second monitor, infact, most missions barely require full attention. i mostly played WoW for years and built up quite a large amount of wealth dominating the market/jewing everyone, i barely even played the game besides logging in and making gold.

for me, eve is just a more complex wow auction house. i find it really fun to make money in video games. the only time i have this in my main monitor is when im pvp'ing or chatting.

Personally I find PvE disgusting and I only do it to be able to PvP. When it comes down to it EVE is mostly PvP.

pvp in eve is highrisk right?
Like you lose all your things if you die minus the player right?

You lose everything that was fitted on the ship you were flying at the time.

PvP is the only reason to play EVE.
