I just started playing Eve and I'm not all sure what there is to do, I've just been spending my time mining. Any advice?

Finish the tutorials. Or go back to wow if eve is too advanced for you.

I was being serious.

Tutorials are there for a reason you know, to give basic knowledge about the different aspects of the game so you can figure out what you like. If you are asking this question you really should play something easier.
