Hi,

seeing from this forum, trading isks outside game is VERY risky (no matter what method you choose), so i am asking EVE proffesionals:

Is it possible to play EVE for free (=earn enough isks to buy PLEX) with minimum amount of time invested each month (lets say 4 hours/ week - so i need at atleast 40m/hour profit )?

I tried (as every newbie) hisec mining, but outcome was like 10-15m/hour which is at best 40hr per month just to buy plex.
Running missions (i run lvl4 missions in hisec) isnt very profitable either.
I tried PI but again, profits were low.

Any tips for achieve that?

Thanks.

If you didn't make 40m per hour doing high sec lvl4 missions you're probably doing every single thing wrong.

But, why bother playing EVE if all you have time for is to do missions to pay for the game time so you can do more missions? What is the point?

EVE is not for casual players, you should find another game.

Edit: I'm making 200-500m per hour depending on how often I get interrupted and depending on how the market moves. 500m per hour is rather rare, but now and then I have a few days in a row with that number. This is not done on 2 characters, my profit just depends on 2 factors.

mabye i wrote it incorrectly -i was trying to say that i was getting 10-15m/hr and that means 60 hours/month spent only to buy plex doing tedious mining or lvl4 missioning (with my low SP char) - i mean, i can play eve 60 hours+ per month but i dont want to spend that time by ONLY to buy plex...so i am looking for some advice / possibilites for getting atleast 40m/hour (low SP pilot with low isks and little practical knowledge of game mechanics)

What you seek does not exist. You need extensive knowledge of whatever you wish to do if you want to reach a high income. Just like the real world, you don't get a CEO's salary just by going to work and doing bare minimum, you have to work hard and learn everything.

Later it is possible, but mostly in 0.0 (my experience)

Things like ratting anomalies in a carrier in 0.0 will get you ~120 m/h. But that depends on your position/campers and is always risky as a carrier is not so cheap. Then there is moon mining, pi, general production that can generate alot of a nearly passive income.

Early on you can make alot of isk (alot means ~20-50 m/h) by salvaging lazy friends/corpmates lvl 4 missions, or try ninja salvaging on a pirate alt. There is also faction war, but i also would not recommend this on your mainchar, you "can" make alot of money through loyalty points - but you will take massve standing hits on enemy factions, will have to pvp, which can lead to more losses then gains without experience (fw is for low-sec) and you need at least some skillpoints.

The income will always increase with your knowledge and skillpoints. Can you make a plex in your first few months without playing much? I would give you a clear NO. Later? Sure!

Just like Socksdryer said, without assets, skills and knowledge you're kinda screwed.

Personally I did factional warfare and made tens of billions, then I stopped since I realized I'm making much much more ISK than I can possibly spend in any reasonable amount of time. You could technically do this on a 1 day old alt, if you train specifically for this purpose. What you need though is knowledge about the factional warfare system, knowledge about pvp (or in this case how to avoid it) and starting capital (since cashing in the loyalty points gained often costs isk and/or items on the side). You also need to do your research on what to spend your loyalty points on, only a few are worth it. If you do everything right you will easily make 100m+ per hour doing this and it's all done in a simple t1 frigate with a total value under 1m ISK. Like I wrote earlier, I made between 2-500m per hour.

Get in a good Wormhole corporation that runs anomalies in c5/c6 class wormholes. If you're lucky you'll find one that accept noobs with low sp.You should be doing a minimum of 100m/hour whenever you run anomalies (you can earn way more than that when you are experienced,WH space is extremely lucrative),and living in wormholes is a very good way to learn about every mechanics in the game, plus pvp there is mostly with sub capital ships,so it's a great environment for a new player.

However to live in wh space you will need a character with good skills in scanning,be a very resourceful player and have a lot of balls.Trust me it's not for everyone, you might not like it but if you do you might never want to go back to known space =)

when I hadn't time to play eve I just played with the market with an alt which had few sps in trade, was enough to make a descent amount with some clicks every 2 hours. Requires some isks for investments though

doing lvl4 highsec missions should do
30-40m/hour or much more (salvage!!!!!!!), but avoid drone missions, cuz drones have no loot, and crap salvage...

as a starter you could also try training for ninja salvaging, there are a lot of guides about that
you need a few skillpoints to do that, best for day0 starters

also keep in mind, as a starter you are just training
3-4m SP you have? that should be enough for a decent miner or l4 BS mission runner...dont waste your SP, plan and train
thats called carebear 101 :D
