Small gang pvp is what I enjoy. Take 5-6 people on a roam, have someone use second monitor for loki booster. Just go look for trouble :)

Oh you're that new. You probably don't even know what a roam or a loki booster is then. The common term for the stasis "thing" is a web.

http://evemon.battleclinic.com/ evemon is your best friend. take a bit to poke around in evemon and get an idea of what skills effect what areas. honestly your best bet starting eve fresh would be to work on fitting skills. I would recommend loading your pilot into evemon, go to the certificates tab and find "core competency". You will have a much easier time fitting and flying ships if you get that up to standard as soon as possible. after that you can look at the starter profession certificates and they will show you all the skills that are either nedded or recommended for a given profession.

with mothership sites getting raided and incursions lasting so little time (compared to the weeks of farming that used to happen) the level of competition to get into a fleet is stacked heavily against low sp players. You'd be better off skilling into mission running. I fly a perfect scimitar/basilisk and still have trouble getting into incursion fleets at times. For missioning you want to get some decent support skills and work your way into either a t3 cruiser (tengu's are usually the go-to for level 4 mission's untill you can fly a marauder) or a raven. raven's and tengu's both use missile skills and Golem's require caldari battleship 5. Mining can pass time but you don't make as much as you used to and it can get very boring very fast. you can make nearly as much ore reprocessing the loot from level 4 missions.

If you think golem is better than tengu for lvl4 you either need to learn how to properly fit a tengu or you need to take a lesson in isk per hour. Probably both.
