Looking to get into EVE. i have before for a while but couldn't really get into it because spending hours on hours mining and learning skills distracted me. However I now work plenty of hours in the week where spending 28 hours on a single skill is nothing.

But, I moved far up north in the Arctic, and the internet is complete horse shit.

Here is what I got. I am wondering if it is fast enough to run EVE.

the speed is just about the minimum required for most mmorps, but your main problem will be the ping, you have a huge ping ^^ but still you can do your ming stuff..

tl;dr your connection is good for mining and station stuff etc, but not for pvp, neither in areas with a lot of people like jita, it might suck a little bit for you, but if its just to dock then you should be fine

Im not sure if theres a minimum really, but games dont use almost none of your speed, its like bytes per second that you need..



EvE uses about
5kbps (under 1 KB/s) when docked and idle in Jita
80kbps (10 KB/s) when fetching market orders
30kbps (~ 4KB/s) outside Jita 4-4

network traffic in EVE depends entirely on what you do, if you stand still on empty grid it will be less than 0.1KB/s

If I leave 2 clients of EVE on 23/7(for various reasons like afk cloaking), it uses around 100mbs per day

your 0.76Mb PER SECOND is a LOT more than 100Mbs per day .. so you should be good just maybe lag in places like jita and pvp because your ping
