So I started playing eve online a few days ago and have been working my way through the npc missions

Now I have decided I want to get into the pvp side of things and just wondering what is the best/efficient way to fund this?

I am tilting towards mining (possibly getting a mate into it also to mine better areas with protection) but wondering what people thought/have done

mining is pretty slow starting off and to get good money with it you'll need to allocate your skills away from PVP.

If you wanted to pvp asap - rig out a medium or small ship with some t2 shit and join a rather open pvp corp.

Push out missions make money - do w/e's

once you have a couple mill SP )or less whatever) check the eve forums for pvp corps recruiting and simply ask them what they'd suggest.

Yea, mining is not a good money maker at low skills and will take away from your combat training. Running missions is the fastest way till you get some assets and learn the market. Try to get a level 4 agent for the better income and get into a battlecruiser or battleship asap. Will take some work.

Trading. Lvl 2 trade and a few lvls in retail is good enough to start making good isk.

Join the RvB Alliance, its amazing, 2 corporations killing eachother 24 hours per day, endless pvp, undock and find people at any time through a 5 system pipe, all pilots are welcome and do well in the alliance. If you joined the game for combat, RvB is where its at, fly safe o/

Oh i forgot to mention were currently at about 4500 members total, so the fights are always intense :)

I started trading recently and LOVE it. Went from 50mil to 1.5bil in two weeks (not much to some, but just starting out, and simply moving items between two trade hubs... I feel accomplished! :-P)

I read through Vincent Trevane's trading blog "full disclosure"; google it and find the start. It helped me kick off quite well (you don't need to make a new character like he does).

That sounds like a very good accomplishment

Subscription pays for itself once you get to a certain point. Just have to find something that 'clicks' that you enjoy and then your 'perma-subbed'

just join a 0.0 corp or aliance, make a jump clone there... find a good moon or 3 moons, bild 3 poses , and make some reactions or advance reactions, and twice a mounth all you need is to go there pickup materials deliver them to a station and order a jump frighter to get it to jita and sell it, and transport pos fuel back... this way you will have 1b isk per mounth income, whic covers you a plex+ few mills to spare for ships and fun... and when the poses are working, you dont need to be in the 0.0 space, just be in high secand do some missions or mine or etc... to make some more money or you can just have fun....

this is not so hard to make and all you need is araund 1 b isk to start for fuel and poses....

if your lucky and you find a rare moon... you can make up to 14b per mounth this way, but those moons are mostly taken
