Hello all, I've been around these forums for a long time and have played most games that have been released in the last 10 years except for this one. After playing Swtor the last month and maxing out pvp in that time I want a game that will offer a longer term challenge.

Having said that I am looking for Isk probably around 1billion to start, a trial, advice on the best way to get involved in PvP.

I probably wouldn't be able to give you the best advice in regards to PvP, but I can help with the ISK part. 2:1 is my ratio. Send me a PM if you're interested. Since your a trial still there are some special things we have to do for security. Ill PM you instructions if you're interested.

I'm currently reading the beginner guide to piracy which sounds like it might be fun, anyone have input on this?

Heres the ships guide:

Ritter
Rupture/stabber
Hurricane
Maelstrom
Tornado
Drake
Vagabond

Cheetah
Rapier
Broadswarm
Loki
Sabre
Interceptors
Jaguar

And then capital ships, ignore every other ship in the game
...

The second group you can just train straight to loki or any other one if you want.

That guy is from EVE university and makes killer tutorials, I recommend watching them as they clear up many things.

I would make a Minmatar pilot but I'm just a huge fan of theirs. Drakes are hard nuts to crack though with their massive shield and bonuses.

Training take a real long time...Immediately train up cybernetics to at least 4 so you can wear +4 implants and speed things up.
Respeccing your attributes to whatever types of skills you are using really speeds things up but you should wait before you do that.

I'm not scared off by the learning curve, I'm scouring information right now before I begin so that I can get off on the right foot. Thanks for the info given so far and please continue.

In eve you will spend a lot of time reading as a new player, so you better get used to it if you are looking for information about what to do/where to go and get into PvP.
You have two options, whether you stop looking for information here and just play the game out of sense, or if you want information you will have to read guides and information which you won't find on these forums.

I recommend this to every new player as it has lots of basic and also more advanced information.


A good place where you should have created this thread is eve forums. Once you get your account subscribed you gain access to them and they will help you a lot more than here.

Yeah I understand that knowledge is gained over time and I appreciate your input. The primary reason that I started the thread here is because I have FG Pixels that should help me get a head start financially in the game since i have no desire to Mine and only want to mission until I understand game mechanics.
