Everyone's telling me to go CNR over Golem for missions... but I honestly can't see what the upside is to the CNR, over the Golem...

CNR has:

-Higher shields

-Higher armor

-Higher hull

-One extra right slot



Golem has:

-More dps (4 launchers x 200% vs 7 launchers x 100%)

-Faster (Yea.. like 10 m/s, but Im counting it anyways..)

-More powerful Cap

-Marauder bonus for shield tanking




So seriously.. I've gone over the numbers and shit like 5 times.. why does everyone say CNR is better for level 4s than Golem? I don't get it -.- HALP

Because you can do lvl 4's easily in a CNR. The Golem is just overkill for those who can spend the extra isk to fit them sexy.

So you dont REALLY need a golem.

Thats my reasoning anyway.

The main advantage the Golem has over the CNR is that you can salvage as you go which saves a lot of time (granted, if you have a dedicated salvager, this point goes out the window). If you want to just blitz missions, the CNR would be a better choice generally. I run a Golem myself and I enjoy it quite a bit.

Ahh.. so its more of a... less is more kind of thing. Gotcha. I just wasn't sure if there was some massive flaw to the Golem I was overlooking. Thanks guys. And no, I'm not looking to blitz missions. I like the salvaging And I like overkill. I'd rather be 150% safe in a more expensive ship incase I afk.
