If i buy that edition and upgrade the trial with the cd key, it will fully upgrade and add a month play time right?

also, by using this cd key will my trial buddy still get his plex?

edit: also was wondering how good the cerebral whatever is? is the increase to training speed significant?

yea , but since your account is already ~2 weeks old , i would say not to plug it in , and sell it on market instead for ~300 m isk

Not entirely true, actually. I had read all that stuff and sent in a petition about it. The Commissioned Officer's Edition is the ONLY box set that will work with the buddy program. Hence, if someone invites you and you use the COE to activate, they will get their membership.

also, my account isn't 2 weeks old, it's a few days old. second, why wouldn't i want to use the training booster? I figure the first 30 days would be when you need a boost....



edit: ahh, i see. it only lasts to a character age of 35 days... shouldn't be an issue since my character will only be a few days old. but what i was wondering was how much the +3 to all stats boosts training time?

If I remember correctly your primary stat will add 1 skill point per minute and your secondary stat will add 0.5 skill point per minute, for every extra stat point, so injecting it would add 4.5 sp per minute.

There's a reason people pay hundreds of million ISK per each of these, but those people usually have a decent amount of ISK to start with. As a completely new player I would rather take the 300 or whatever million ISK than getting 270 more sp per hour.

yeah that makes sense, 270 is only around 13% on my main skills.

One more question... if i'm going to have 300m isk anyway, would that be enough to see me through for long enough to make the injector worth using? probably not i assume, since it would only cut like a day of the time to get to battlecruiser which is my first goal anyway...

300m isk would get you through 35 days for sure, in the very beginning, the ships and fittings you need are dirt cheap. I still wouldn't use it, you'll need that isk, sooner rather than later. 270 more sp per hour just isn't worth it if you don't have any isk.

About the implants. It also depends on what sec you operate in. I assume you're in high sec...

With 300 mil I would go for +4 perception, +4 willpower, +3 memory and +3 intelligence (possible +4 if you can afford it). That's around 65-75 mil.

The faster you get implants the better. Anyways, at least get some implants. You can get some really cheap +2 implants if you really don't want to spend (that's an error though).

Buddy program does NOT work with comissioned officer edition CD Key. The implant that comes with it only adds about 300k extra sp, which with max sp/hour its about 1.8mil sp per month. Ive had a new alt i made train cybernetics 5 right off the bat, so i had +5 implants, and the cerebral implant, I had 35 Intelligence. Only for like 25 days, since it took 10 days for cybernteics 5, but it was still neat. I bet no one in the game has had 35 int before janurary cause noone would put +5's on a new char + cerebral accelerator
